Containment What If?

Let's say Chris learned the same things as Bob, such as engineering, music, music appreciation, geography and stamp collecting.

Let's also say he also had Bob's habit of yammering on if anyone showed the slightest interest in what he was saying.

Would he have been any different or would he have been too lazy to use his knowledge? Would he have an interesting life?

Re: What if Chris had Bob's knowledge?

Only if that knowledge includes knowing not to draw Sonichu on a job application.

Re: What if Chris had Bob's knowledge?

Chris may have knowledge, but he still wouldn't be smart.

Re: What if Chris had Bob's knowledge?

Chris: You- no– you listen to my father… because he's somethin'! Because I get some of my intelligence from him.
Emily: Yeah.
Chris: Especially my technological intelligence.

I was trying to think of a good What-if scenario, and upon remembering how much Chris hates the "HEXBOX"...Just a thought here. What IF Chris didn't like the PS3 and liked the Xbox 360 instead?

He'd waste even more taxpayer money buying replacements after RRODs.

Would he be that much worse then some of the morons on those "reality shows"?

Look at "Jersey Shore" or pretty much anything else on MTV these days, and I don't think the people are all that different from Chris. In fact, I think he might actually have more appeal than "Snooki" or the Kardashians.

In Germany, we have these repulsive TV shows where absolute fucktard lowlife degenerates talk with a host who resembles an elderly streetwalker about their personal problems while a studio audience composed of fucktard lowlife degenerates watches. These shows appear on private channels in the afternoon and are geared towards fucktard lowlife degenerate epsilon minuses who piss away their tugboats (known as Hartz IV here) drinking cheap beer while watching shit that appeals to creatures with a single digit number of braincells.

Basically, it's to Jersey Shore what Jersey Shore is to Shakespeare.

Therefore I think if Chris was exported to Germany, yes, there would be a way to get him on TV, giving him 20 seconds of fame.

If you're talking about trashy talk shows, we've got those too. There's people on The Jerry Springer Show that make Chris look downright normal.

That was a great system. Gaming kinda died for me for a few years when that got cancelled.

And, yeah it's got Sonic, so he'd be all set.

I hate to be so serious or morbid on the "What if" section, but I wonder how different Chris's life would be right now if it was Barb who passed on instead of Bob. He's certainly closer to Barb so I imagine he'd be more devastated. On the other hand, Bob was the marginally more competent parent (not that that's saying much).

Bob would probably let him out more often and let him have a social life. He'd probably also throw out all of Barb's crap that had no purpose.

10/28/11 would have never happened, which means he'd still be a virgin with rage instead of a nonvirgin with rage.

Besides that, his life probably wouldn't be too much different. Bob may yell at Chris when he does dumb stuff, but besides that, not much would have changed.

^This probably would be the best way of summing up Barb being the dead parent instead of Bob. Although Bob probably would let Chris out more often and hopefully make Chris get a social life, I'm pretty sure not all of Barb's crap would be thrown out. Chris could still become a nonvirgin with rage but not without possibly angering Bob.

you know something? I totally forgot Chris does not like paying for a service fee, So I think it's safe to say that I screwed this What-if Scenario up.

He'd probably cut the internet down for Chris.

None of this would happen.

Bob, in his mid-eighties, barely had the muster to speak his mind about the hoard; what makes you think he'd actually have the wherewithal to actually clean it up? Not to mention that he was deathly afraid of anyone finding out about the quality of living in the house, as it would reflect badly on everyone.

28 October 2011 was an inevitability. One day or another, Chris would drive past, see the new management sign, not deduce that the Mike on the sign is Michael Snyder, and voila.

He wouldn't have to throw all of it out at once. It would start small and after a bit of time he probably would have thrown a lot of stuff out.

The 10/28/11 incident may have occurred, but it would just be like that previous time when Chris nearly ran over Snyder. The police might arrest him for trespassing but we all know the court didn't care about that charge. Barb wouldn't have been there to egg him on and make things worse. One deranged person madly running away from the cops is bad enough, but two deranged people is what made the 10/28 incident so bad.

Nah its fine. I think that excuse was just an after thought later.

but then again, from what I read on the cwcki, it seems Chris bought out almost every DLC (even for games he doesn't own) from the psn store, So I'm probably thinking now that if he was a xbox fan, he'd probably buy almost ever single thing from the marketplace?

probably. Chris hates the Xbox 360 purely because it's the rival to the Sony system, Nothing more, nothing less. His reasoning is pretty much identical to anybody else who partakes in the whole "system wars" bullshit. The monthly payments for Xbox live is a fairly cookie cutter piece of ammunition that those on Chris' side of the fence throw out during arguments.

That said, I can't Imagine there's much on the Xbox 360 he'd be interested in, Chris is pretty far outside the demographic that the system is aimed at. That said, I would imagine that he'd find a lot of value in the Kinect, if he could just get past his childish dislike of the system. If you took all the money he wastes on psn downloads that he doesn't play, he could easily get a 360 with Kinect and have a lot of fun with it.

Hell, at the very least he'd get some fucking exercise.
