This doesn’t work and is why Asian children tend to loathe their parents. Imagine living your entire life programmed to think that you will be punished if you make one tiny mistake. Chris has plenty of reason to hate both of his parents, and his parents should have taken more opportunity to discipline him in his youth. Senseless beating of a child for not being perfect is absolutely fucking stupid. Chris would have been dead by the hands of his own parents a long time ago.
