What's the worst song you've ever heard?

That is the single most obvious choice that one could possibly make... but yeah it is really bad so I can't argue with you there.

Yeah, I honestly don't willingly search for bad songs, so this was pretty much the only thing that came to mind for me at the moment. Parts of the song got stuck in my head when I first heard it, so that's what makes it so terrible for me at least...

Edit: Although a while back I did somehow come across this... :)

As soon as I hear autotune, every lyric turns to "I caaaaaaan't siiiiiing, listen to how much I suuuuuuuuck."

Eh, I've heard some people who can sing use Auto-Tune. Believe it or not, T-Pain can sing without auto-tune:

And the lead singer of fun. in "Some Nights", with that... honestly pretty awful auto-tune solo, but at least he can sing without it and does so throughout most of the song.

My eldest daughter has this song saved on the iPad and my middle child plays it all the time. There aren't many things that make me have to choke down bile, but this is one of them.

I also had to sit through this commercial before Avengers: Age of Ultron and I can't skip it fast enough when it comes up as a YouTube ad.

Also, "How Could This Happen to Me?" by Simple Plan makes me giggle due to its shameless melodrama and pandering.

Oh, and then there was Paris Hilton's unfortunate foray into music back in '06. Thank God that didn't last long.

Aside from Simple Plan's "Untitled" (which was already posted), this is probably the worst song I hear at work:

So sappy, yet so dull at the same time.

And it's a damn shame because Extreme's actually pretty good. "Get The Funk Out", despite the cheesy "let's make the f word radio friendly by saying 'funk' instead of 'fuck'" idea, is a really fun song to listen to, the vocalists performed well, and the song was the exact opposite of dull. At least in my opinion... shame they'd make something like "More Than Words", which I originally hoped would be a sincere song about trying to repair a relationship without trust, even if a little boring... but then I really thought about it and it just seems to be a really dull song about sex, like all the other dull songs about sex... but even more yawn-inducing.

"More Than Words" shouldn't even be in the same sentence as "worst song." It's actually about something, was composed by someone with actual knowledge of music, and wasn't overproduced to death like everything Winger ever made.

Really, even if you hate love songs, and/or hair ballads,* go back and listen to some of the other hair ballads that were put out at the time. I guarantee you every one of them was worse. Every Bon Jovi hair ballad was worse.** Every Cinderella hair ballad was worse. Every song on this list was worse, and I don't even hate "Home Sweet Home" or "I Remember You."

*And I don't even consider "More Than Words" a hair ballad. It's too good for that title.

**For that matter, every Bon Jovi song was worse.

I'll agree that "More Than Words" is nowhere near that bad, I'm just not as likely to listen to that one as much as other Extreme songs. I might relisten to it and look at the lyrics a little more closely just to get the idea of what it's about more clear in my head (I haven't heard the song in a while, to be honest).

As for the person who first mentioned it, I'm not sure what got him to say it's among the worst. That really confuses me.

For me right now, it's "Blank Space". Any song that makes acting like a psychotic bitch trendy will piss me off. Also, the kind of people who quote "I'm a nightmare dressed like a daydream" are usually the kind of people who also quote "If you can't handle me at my worst you don't deserve me at my best."

Anything by Beyonce.

If you hit me with a tazer, pepper-sprayed me after hitting me with a hypodermic dart, then tied me onto a hand truck with hospital-grade restraints- that was then welded to the side of a truck- and then you backed that truck into a concert theater where Beyonce was playing a show... Like a fox in a trap, I would chew off my own eardrums before I let her absolutely moronic bullshit enter my ears.

I either like most things, can easily avoid, and generally stick in my lane. If I had to pick something I guess it'd be grunge music as a whole. I'm sure there are songs I dig but for the most part I think it's pretty shit.

I just realized I posted the demo version of Waking the Cadaver's song. The album version is, IMO, even worse. At least in the demo, the vocalist does barely-competent growling, in this version he does... I don't even know what the fuck. And I can't tell if the drummer's terrible seizures have gotten worse:
