The more important thing to remember is that no one will ever understand what it is to be anyone else unless we have lived under the exact same conditions beginning from birth. Sure, we can empathize and sympathize, but we just really don't know.
Women share a common bond based on similar experiences and so do men, that's all there is to it, but a certain group outside of those experiences does not know what it's like.
I say we get rid of most group identities and treat people like individuals.

This has everything to do with the fact that the usual suspects want to destroy conventional sexuality entirely. That's a good point, troons are essentially knocking out two oppression tugboats with just one stone. What I mean is that if it had not been the GID movement, it would have been something else entirely. Strangely enough, that isn't always the case. I can't speak of specifics for obvious reasons, but fetishists who co-operate with therapy can learn emotional regulation (It's possible to teach that now!) and create a quality life where "I'm a hot little fucktoy" isn't their biggest thrill/priority. They can absolutely recover.

I should note it's really, really hard to get F.U.D. designation. It means the system has utterly failed someone. It's not a way of washing our hands of a patient (far from it), it's a way of indicating the limits of our collective technology. I've seen advances in the past few years that have turned former F.U.D.s into functional, productive people so F.U.D status isn't permanent. Recovery happens, even when professionals are stumped.
