We all know you can't wear glasses with a sweater. Just like how a hat prevents glasses wearing, a sweater covers up thing part of his head that is needed to keep the glasses on. KID, just wait until you're an adult and need to put these things on.

DESYNC

Muh controller is desync'ed on the PC(while you can hear the Windows USB connection/disconnection sound going off)

What he acktually means: UNPLUGGED

I'm not a native english speaker so I have to ask, is "propietary knowledge of my setup" when referring to how people don't know what his setup is a good use of the word "propietary"? Example: "People don't have propietary knowledge of my setup" Because when I google it google tells me it means "related to a legal right of an inventor or maker".

He invented his setup, nudnik. Nobody else I know has their television almost falling off their too small table with a rat's nest of wires all over the floor and a half inch of dust covering everything.

It's... unique.

Phil just said that when he had to play games by himself it felt like work, remember guys he just loves games! He loves video games so much that playing for a couple of hours feels like work and drains him , playing video games and making pee pee poo poo jokes is hard.

He spoke about Rambo and Howard yesterday and now he is doing it again,he is still super butthurt about them not wanting to be friends with him anymore.

Edit: I got confused, this wasn't for this thread.

Translation: When he had other people on camera, it lessened his workload, and so Phil's mood was naturally improved. He is still mad that he lost out on the opportunity to continue monetizing and taking them for granted.

You're not fooling anyone, pigroach. You value friendship as much as you value personal hygiene.

during ask the pig christmas special, he was talking about doing something "blindlessly"

I can't remember the context but I don't think we need it at this point
The foreigners need it.

I was just watching Tevin skim through Phil’s Ask The King from yesterday, and I just heard him say “blindlessly”, and I was gonna come here and post about it.

Phil was taking about how he “used” to spend money frivolously, and he said “I would... BLINDLESSLY spend all this money...”

Obviously he meant to say “mindlessly”, but it’s Phil.

Not sure if it's here but I was highly amused by "cunts eye" during a yakuza stream of Phil's.

I just imagine walking down the street and someone yelling it at me. It's a little more amusing than the standard "cunt".

Any stream of his is just an endless barrage of misspoken or misunderstood words from Phil and it is great.
People from New England really cant pronounce words right especially the more well off they are, not sure why myself, and they really hate being corrected to. I have a few speech impediments so I've always been hyper aware of how I speak since people would overly like to point it out to me but New England takes the cake.

Here's a classic but really hammers home how phil acts like he knows everything but in reality he is clueless and ignorant.

Variable bitrate (video encoding)
Definition: Based on quality, raises and lowers the bitrate depending on the amount of "action" happening on the screen so the final video will look to be the same quality wether or not the image is static or moving rapidly.

What phil thinks it means: with variable bit rate, the quality goes down and more pixelated (??) when there is more happening on the screen. and according to phil, constant bitrate means constant quality.

Phil is a total fucking idiot if he thinks constant bitrate = constant quality. The irony is, of course, that the exact opposite is true. Fortunately for Phil, his constant bitrate was so high that at 720p there could never be enough variability to become noticeably pixilated. He should have just turned his vbr quality way up.

I love AV technician Phil.

There's tons of nonsense in this clip, but these are my favorites.

Stereo Plus (6:24) - Stereo audio that is trying to decode (?) surround sound. Not great but not terrible.

True Dolby (12:00) - True surround. Presumably multichannel audio magically being pushed through his 2 channel headphone jack.

Headphone Amp
(20:20) - A powered 3.5mm splitter.

He fell for the 3D audio marketing scheme hard.

Surround sound always seemed like a flex from him. And now that he plays with headphones and direct capture (instead of a stereo and video camera like a real gamer) he needs another way to hold onto that flex. Im certain this is all there is to it because it's not like his infected ears can actually tell any difference.

Theres no way to get surround out of two speakers pressed against your ears. There are only tricks to make things seem more directional. This is probably good enough to give someone an advantage or feel the effect but he shouldn't be acting like what his old headphone transmitter is doing is anything different from what the Sony headphones are doing.

As for his complaint about the optical output from his TV not sounding as good I think it's because he's not actually getting a surround sound output. For games over hdmi I think the output is always PCM surround so either his TV or capture card are incapable of PCM surround and the hdmi splitter is telling the console that stereo is the only valid audio output. Then the optical out to his headphone transmitter is PCM stereo instead of 5.1 dolby. Either that or he has his TV set to down mix to stereo and it doesn't apply the same "make things sound super directional" down mix processing that his headphone transmitter would do because TVs are made for people watching movies and shows where the dialog is most important.

Despite acting like an authority on technology, Phil has the technical literacy of an old boomer best buy employee. Kinda makes sense considering he was one.

Phil "the bigger the camera, the better the quality of video"

Phil "I can't upgrade to Windows 10 because I don't know how to use it".

Phil "I failed at using an allen wrench to assemble an exercise bike"

Truly a wizard of technology

Don't forget "When my computer turns off I have to hard boot it by pressing the power button. My computer has got issues!"

I found that so funny. He's such a fuck up. If his car shaked just a bit when starting up, he'd gas it up before coming home, leave it running all night in his garage, then take it out, that's how he operates. And you gotta love his language too, "Hard boot it" = pressing the power button. He loves overcomplicating things, which is a sign that he doesn't know shit.
