Xbox Game Studios Stupidity Hate Thread Game Pass Edition

You realize the last 2 decades encompasses the original Xbox and Xbox 360. There were lots of great games on those systems.
I think you need better standards, when it comes to exclusives I can probably count the "great" ones on one hand for the 360, for anything beyond that console I'm having a hard time thinking of any I would consider great, of course I'm sure a good percentage of those +1000 games are likely multiplatform, but I would be ashamed if I had stuff like Bioshock Infinite in my library

Now you've added the qualifier "exclusive" but nobody claimed that. The Original Xbox and Xbox 360 usually had the better multiplats anyway.

As much as I enjoyed owning an Xbox and an Xbox 360 it was extremely retarded for Microsoft to throw the PC gaming market they had corned into the trash to chase consoles. That's what happens when you cannot prioritize long term goals thanks to shareholders.

Otoh thank God they did because Steam is a very high quality product

If I had all day, I could probably come up with 200 games I would personally declare as at least "good", released from 2014 to today.
I would rather just play great and classic old games than 'good' modern goyslop trash simply because it's new. There are enough high quality games from the 360/PS3 era and before that you could not exhaust playing them in one lifetime.

GFWL seemed like a decent idea in practice thanks to Xbox Live taking off during the 360 era. PC gamers do not like being throttled by DRM, login or whatever restrictions GFWL brought to certain games.

It still boggles my mind that after only releasing Midtown Madness 1 & 2 on PC only, they would make the 3rd Midtown Madness an Xbox-exclusive. Even worse is the fact that despite it being a Microsoft published title, it isn't backwards compatible on the Xbone/XSX/XSS or even backwards compatible on the 360

That same series being developed by Angel Studios, which went on to be Rockstar San Diego for the Midnight Club series. I believe Midtown Madness lives on from Project Gotham Racing to the Forza Horizon series. Even so, it's not the same. MS needs more exclusives like what they had for the original Xbox.

I'm just glad PS5 players finally have something to play. If it pisses off the 5 remaining Xbox fanboys, so be it. They need to finally grow up and build a PC.

Edit:

I get you basically have to install everything regardless....but why the hell would the all digital Series X have less drive space than the physical Series X?

Why is the Xbox Series X going UP in price four years after launch? Same with the PS5.

I’m disappointed that the one of the most pozzed studios in the west, MachineGames, may not bleed money on this title as a result.
Then again, who exactly wants to play an Indiana Jones game? It's not a healthy franchise, and I don't think there's ever been a notable game, and I know there have been a bunch of them.

Which is ironic, because the franchise has always been perfect to make a game out of.

Exactly, it was a dead IP on an underperforming console. Would’ve been a great bomb.

It is weird, Lucasfilm was involved in a lot of great games. I guess they didn’t give a shit about IJ either.
