$ (XMR) Monero

I'm a boomer crypto newb who wants to send some to Null for the lawsuit. I made an account at an exchange and a hot wallet to transfer to since exchange are blocking transfers to his wallets and closing account who try to send direct. I bought some XMR and went to make my first transfer to my hot wallet today and it's limiting me to ~.1 XMR per transaction. I have a daily limit far more than the crypto I in my account. I watched a couple demos on monero and everyone used basically that amount. I thought they were using it because it'd be quick for the demo. Do I really have to make dozens of transactions to send all my XMR to my hot wallet and then dozens more to send that money to Null or am I being retarded?

Depends on the exchange, some exchanges really are that autistic.
I recommend using localmonero (http://lm.i2p/nojs/) (http://nehdddktmhvqklsnkjqcbpmb63htee2iznpcbs5tgzctipxykpj6yrid.onion/nojs/)

I used Kraken as they looked like a good newb exchange, I wasn't even sure what I was going to buy, and I didn't see info that they were blocking Null. Turns out there are reports they are blocking and it turns out they're gay niggers only allowing me to transfer $16 of XMR at a time. I should have just sent a check or MO, but figured this was the time to finally learn crypto after making excuses for 15 years and making peace with the fact I didn't get in early.

lol, ok the max changed to .08 XMR while I typed this post

I thought he couldn't accept crypto currency into the lawsuit fund?

You're correct. I'm sending it for that, what he uses it for is up to him. If it goes to the site, it goes to the site. The lawsuit is a gamble in and of itself.

I imagine Josh uses a decent chunk of KF funds for personal living expenses. Which he can pay with crypto thanks to the power of the Yugoslavia. He probably also takes fiat donations from the site if crypto isn't enough. Additionally many hosting providers accept crypto.
IE if you send more crypto, that crypto can take the place of fiat in many expenses, which can then go to legal fund. (He can also just exchange it for fiat and send that to the law firm) but crypto money is by no means tax exempt as would be the legal escrow.

You're being half retarded, you make a dozen transactions to send it to your hot wallet and then send all of it from the hot wallet to Null in one transaction.
It's sad Kraken is fucking people over like that. I was considering using them as my "main" exchange for buying with fiat but I guess I have to reconsider.
I use "Cake Wallet" on Android as my XMR wallet which from my experience works very well and offers two different exchanges for buying XMR directly with fiat, without KYC even. Other than that if your XMR purchases/transactions are being stifled by the exchange but other cryptos aren't, you can buy a different crypto like LTC and swap it for XMR elsewhere privately (like using trocador), then send that XMR. The extra transaction cost doesn't really impact you because both LTC and XMR have dirt cheap fees.

My man, paying tax on crypto is a skill issue.
I don't think Null is pulling much if anything for his own expenses from site donations, imo he makes enough just from MATI donos. Judging by the length of each stream he gets (nearly?) as many superchats as someone like Metokur, and he streams twice a week.

Ok, so I guess this a ~$15 is daily limit. I figured there had to be some hard limit, but this is absurd. Of course individual coin limits are not stated anywhere I could quickly find. Gonna close the account once I clean it out in a month. I had to give these assholes my driver's license and selfie so I could access $15 a day? Gotta love government regulation.

Heres what i recommend doing if you ever want to use an exchange to buy crypto from. Use uphold (requires dox), uphold will allow you to buy ETH. Once you have alot of ETH you can then go to a swap website that will swap ETH for monero.

(OR!!!!! Find someone locally that will set up an exchange account in their name and then just buy crypto in cash from them. This requires THEIR dox not yours.)

I use a variety of sites, most of which are frowned apon in the usa because of fun legal reasons. I reccomend searching "beetrootprivacy" on google or use this url https://www.beetroot.world .

That is the best way to do it.
I suggest checking the site you are going to trade crypto to XMR for the best exchange rates but ETH is normally a safe bet.
If you are trading thousands and thousands of $$ worth of crypto getting the best exchange rate can save you hundreds to thousands of dollars.

Question: is there any iOS Bitcoin wallet (where you generate your own key from a pass phrase and all that) which is:

* Easy to use
* Not a scam to harvest your Bitcoin or your biometric data
* not infested with NFT shit
* not bugged to fuck

Mycelium which Null mentioned has dire warnings all over the reviews. Most others in the App Store look like they have one or more of the problems above.

I last used Bitcoin in like 2013, shit was simpler then.

Cake Wallet seems legit, I use it for XMR but it supports other crypto as well

(((Binance))) will delist Monero and other privacy coins soon.

Fellow Binancians,

At Binance, we periodically review each digital asset we list to ensure that it continues to meet the high level of standard we expect. When a coin or token no longer meets this standard, or the industry changes, we conduct a more in-depth review and potentially delist it. We believe this best protects all our users.

When we conduct these reviews, we consider a variety of factors. Here are some that drive whether we decide to delist a digital asset:

  • Commitment of team to project
  • Level and quality of development activity
  • Trading volume and liquidity
  • Stability and safety of network from attacks
  • Network / smart contract stability
  • Level of public communication
  • Responsiveness to our periodic due diligence requests
  • Evidence of unethical/fraudulent conduct or negligence
  • Contribution to a healthy and sustainable crypto ecosystem
Based on our most recent reviews, we have decided to delist and cease trading on all trading pairs for the following token(s) at 2024-02-20 03:00 (UTC):

Not surprising. The first 6 criteria are very well taken care of by XMR and its devs as a perfectly legitimate project with a solid history and backing, so it all comes down to (((due diligence))), (((evidence of negligence))) (I heard that dark net hitman websites accept monero zomg) and most importantly (((contributions))) to a (((healthy))) crypto ecosystem lmfao. Centralization really is the death of every currency and commodity.

Retarded question: is it better to get a separate wallet for mobile or just link up a current wallet to Cake Wallet?

Retarded question: is it better to get a separate wallet for mobile or just link up a current wallet to Cake Wallet?
Depends if you want access to all of your funds from mobile or if you want a separate wallet where you can send an allowance from your main wallet or something. Both scenarios make sense depending on what you intend to do with the mobile wallet. XMR transactions are cheap so transferring between wallets is basically a free operation unlike with bitcoin and the like.

If you go with a separate mobile wallet be sure to securely backup the private key so you don't lose it if anything happens to your phone.
