Since 2017 according to wikipedia. He made a game then that is largely unknown (drawn to death). He used to be a big deal when he made edgy games like Twisted Metal (PS1 and PS2) and God of War (PS2). It's a shame really, going from edge lord to old man yelling at clouds the young people to get off his lawn kids these days games by people who aren't washed up.

I missed half of the metroid drama at first because he blocked me for calling him out on his shit about Cruelty Squad earlier in the year. He picked out some two week old tweet and claimed people were still harassing him so he had an excuse to post another rage-bait video.

the man cannot stop himself.

there is a spurned professional pride here too. he is cliffy b level washed up.
What’s sad is I deadass forgot twisted metal was a franchise that existed until I saw this thread. I also remember thinking Twisted Metal Black sucked and the remake even harder and I’ve heard nothing about it since then.

The remake sucked and had a ton of online only bullshit, but Black was probably under 2 in terms of quality with 2 being the best.

They're making a twisted metal TV series and IIRC he's still connected to it, but the game is being made by the same people who did Destruction Allstars so there's a real good chance that it's going to be Online Only as well.

It’s been a very long time since I played it I think I was 13? Or I was 11? I can’t remember, but what made that game good? Black I mean.

black was a really fun arena shooter. fun maps, cool secrets areas, interesting weapons, good local multiplayer, unashamed edgelord atmosphere. it was also a technical showpiece for the ps2 and one of the games at launch that was definitively next gen. it was the first 6th gen game I played and I remember the smooth framerate being astonishing.
back to making fun of him lol, jaffe name dropped aria of sorrow a bunch as what a good game looks like. then he played it some on stream:

No, not Black(the game put out from the No Man's Sky devs) but Twisted Metal Black

It was basically everything that made Twisted Metal 2 good but expanded and given a dark tone in aesthetics.

You had a ton of stage hazards in the game for each level, the cars handled better and the mechanics were vastly refined for everything. Especially compared to Twisted Metal 3 and 4 Black was a vast improvement over the recent games. Twisted Metal Head On then was released afterwards and that stylized itself closer to 2. Now it being on the PSP meant that it couldn't have as elaborate levels as Black did, but they did a good enough job with it that it was still better than the ones 989 put out.

What did everybody think of drawn to death? I liked the art style and the gameplay was alright, but mann.... it had quite possibly the most aggressively demeaning tutorials and announcer I’ve seen in recent memory.

I disagree and you should also play the PAL version.

Why, is his profile pic reenacting the blowjob face from dspgaming?
