Dude, Vazkii has been a tranny since forever ago. I vaguely remember hearing a while ago that he stopped being a tranny, so maybe he started being a tranny again and this is just a return to form.

Man. I haven't played Minecraft in many years so I loaded up an old file and did some stuff I'd never bothered with like killing the Ender Dragon and such. I was booting up the game again to explore The End and got slapped with the little title text being "Black Lives Matter".

I really don't want this game that's supposed to be relaxing bringing up this dumb political BS anywhere. I'm probably over-reacting but it just bothers me so much that there can't be any avenue of escape from it in any medium.

It's standard industry practice to pander to those crowds. It's better to ignore it, imo, as 9/10 the companies either don't actually believe in the message or could care less.

Splash Texts can be changed really easily with a resource pack (thank god), and it's rather easy to whip one up that just removes the BLM texts.

Here's the one I threw together that removes BLM and Covid texts, and restores the removed Notch texts.

As a sidenote: God these are so fucking preachy.

It should work regardless of version because it only has a single text file for the splash text, so the game bugs you that it's out of date or some shit just ignore it.

lol wait, this is vanilla Minecraft? Or is it only in the faggy (((bedrock))) edition? Because I was playing on a Java Realms server with some friends as recently as about a month ago and haven't seen this shit.

This is in vanilla java minecraft, but like I said, it's really easy to remove with a resource pack.

Holy cow. I apparently saw the least brain-dead of the splashes... BLM is at least just a statement and not some kind of command. I already said my piece about it, but damn it's sad to see this kind of stuff blatantly shoved into the forefront.

Thankfully, it seems to only goes as far as the splash text. Jeb did say that he wants the game to be apolitical.

I wouldn't be surprised if those were added purely for good PR. Same with removing the notch ones.

I wish HyTale would come out already. I love the modded Minecraft game loop but the bad performance on any moderate-to-large sized modpack really fucking kills it.

Are you doing 1.12? Because from my experience, the newer versions' modpacks perform way better.
 
I'm curious. Why is it that some people here don't like the Phantom? I can understand the annoyance towards it but, for me, it's no more annoying to deal with than creepers if not less so.

People dislike the Mob votes since out of 4 potential mobs only 1 can get in.

Phantom is rarely seen since you usually skip the nights.
-Membranes are useless when you´ve got the Elytra /w Mending.

Lightweight Potion is gonna be decent for cave exploration.

Edit: There´s also the weird janky ass hitbox of those.

I understand being upset about that (hell, so am I). Thankfully, they stopped that trend pretty quickly with the losing biome votes likely coming in the Wild Update.

Rarely seeing the Phantom is apart of it's design. It's suppose to be a mob that you need to go out of your way to encounter much like most of the hostile mobs.

The membranes being rendered useless as a repair material after acquiring mending speaks more about how the enchantment is a little too good rather than it being a negative towards the Phantom.
