They did plan Sky Islands which sadly got scrapped for the End.

The End outside of XP farms & getting your elytra pretty barren.

Ffs the End is the new (old) Nether with how barren it is.

All the popular Minecraft mega-autists who incessantly went on about the need for a "cave update" before the Caves and Cliffs update was announced have recently been going on almost as much about a potential Sky Dimension, with some also talking about an End Update.
Given the preferential treatment some "kahntent creators" seem to receive, I wouldn't be surprised if one of those two things was something that some of them were made aware of potentially happening from insider info, that, although far out, is likely to be the key feature of 1.20 or 1.21.

I'm playing on a snapshot using an old, old world. Having those weird chunks isn't ruining anything.

I didn't touch the world gen yet but sure i'll check and see what i can find.

You see that tiny waterfall up there? Swimming trough it and you´ll find another huge cave that´s fully submerged in water. You´re accessing this entire cave by swimming from the ocean trough the cave to this lil hole...

World Generation is also really a placeholder.

I spawn with rocks around me and nothing else. Villages and Outposts have no ground and everything falls into the void

Only way you can beat a caves only gen is by spawning in mineshafts...which luckily still exist.

it's a life saver, for example it makes the top part of the walls more wide because it doesn't take the space of a full block or stair.

and also it's useful for hiding stuff you don't want to show to the other side of a thin wall, here's another example:

Yeah, but trapdoors can accomplish the same thing if you make them work with the build.

Vertices slabs are nice, but it's not the end of the world if don't get implemented for me.

i agree, but with those type of slabs you can make it appear more uniform than using trapdoors.

plus, in the mod at least, every type of block has its regular and vertical type of slabs. for a builder like me it's like christmas morning.

anyway, i dont really care if mojang keeps not adding them. once i tried modded minecraft i ain't going back to vanilla.

the point is, instead of stating they are not interested to implement them for whatever reason they say some bs excuse. that's just sloppy pr in my book.

You're not wrong as the PR team were the ones who made that statement. Jeb did clarify, though, that basically they weren't interested in implementing them (saying that didn't want add more block shapes to the game). Another dev added that adding in vertical slabs would start a slippery slope of adding more and more block shapes to the game.

Didn't stop the inital PR statement from getting spread around, though. PR should have properly clarified.

That's cool. I use modded Minecraft as more of playpin to mess around with magic mods and other cool mods in survival. I've been especially loving mods incorporating the new stuff into their mods.

Ever since Mojang's been stepping up their game with updates, I've been finding myself coming back to vanilla more.

Quark has a feature called shiny mobs. They're basically rare variants of existing mobs you can find in your world.

For bees in particular, they have shiny variants that give them the colors of the LGBT flags.

Damn, fucking Ninja'd. Well, the least I can add to this topic is that these variants were added at least partially because of the "Trans bee" meme (and I say 'meme' with heavy air quotes).

As for the wokeness, Quark and the major of the Minecraft Abnormals team's mods have some degree of wokeness to them from what I can see. It's part of why I don't use their mods much anymore.

The Warden itself won't drop any items. The devs heavily discourage you trying to kill it as apparently they plan to not only let it deal crazy amounts of damage, but it will have an absurd amount of HP (according to KingBDogz on twitter they're planning to give the Warden 500 Health, but it might not be final).

I imagine the unique loot we'll be looking for will be in the chest down there. Personally, though, I would like to have the ability to make our own sculk-based security system. Maybe even have a lesser Warden to protect it?

I wouldn't let the fact that the maker of the mod is your typical Twitter Troon stop you from using the mod. All of political stuff can easily be configured away thankfully.

"Separate the art from the artist" is a saying for instances like this. Although, Charm is a decent alternative.

I love Quark, and I'm probably one of the more left-leaning Kiwis, but I will never understand politicizing so much media shit. That's why I'm glad Quark has really good settings and it's easy to turn on and off some features. I haven't been able to play much Minecraft (or any games really) because my desktop shit itself and I only have a Microsoft Surface at the moment.
