What Video caused you to stop watching a Youtuber?

  • 🐕 I am attempting to get the site runnning as fast as possible. If you are experiencing slow page load times, please report it.
I used to watch the Fine Bros in their early days but after they started brainwashing kids into their beliefs, I stopped watching them. I loved it when they lost all those subs from the Fine World controversy.

I didn't stop watching his videos but father he stopped making them. I liked AlphaOmegaSin. He mostly focused on video game news but also talked about anime, comics, and WWE. He then stopped making videos for no reason. He still livestreamed though. About a year later he came back for about half a year and then stopped again. He did some more livestreams until he stopped all together. I first heard he was taking video classes to improve on his channel but that was a few years ago now. Most people say he stopped because of Youtube new rules on what is considered adult content and safe for kids. Because Alpha swears a lot he didn't want to stop that. He's still active on Twitter but I don't think he ever said why he stopped.

James announced Mike left. Mike can be very cringy but its clear he's the main reason why AVGN was so funny as he wrote most of the episodes in the shows prime. It marked the end of my support of the channel, ending a 13 year run. ;_;
I don't give a shit about that sperg Mike Matei, but I left when the episodes got considerably shittier and those screenwave fatties started to insert themselves into everything.
Also Bimmy clearly not giving a fuck anymore was also a reason.

My longest internet crush was Elisa Hansen (Vampire Reviews).
Unfortunately, she just had to choose her toxic clique.

I still wish her and her family well.
Internet crush? I thought she was a tranny at first

I made mention of this a while ago in a vaguely related thread but I used to actually enjoy Super Mega. I didn't think the videos were high art of some shit I just found it enjoyable to listen to or watch while doing a smaller task. Then their content started getting slower, shittier, and they started really slobbing the knob of your usual californian political groups. Then Can't Breef got sent to the shadow realm and they went full pelt into trying to shame people for 'the state of America' in a podcast episode. That was the straw that fully broke the camel's back.

Turns out their content then slowed down insanely and they primarily just shit out podcasts.

For me it was when Arin got pissy at a fan for daring to try and help Danny understand the badge system in Paper Mario: TYD.

Speaking of Jontron though I stopped watching Continue? PeanutButterGamer and Projared after they all threw him under the bus over the destiny debate.

She's such a fucking tool. I don't have anything to add besides that.

When did Continue? Double cross Jon?

I've dropped many over their community posts or social media postings, but only one (today actually) over a video they dropped. It was Game Apologist, he was always pretty low-tier anyway so no loss. When I caught up with his Christmas episode and it blatantly, unnecessarily, and frankly randomly pushed some faggotry, I just unsubscribed immediately.

I used to watch AntVenom, and always thought he was the only non cringy minecraft youtuber, but he started hanging out with SkyDoesMinecraft and all those other faggots, and he became a cringy faggot too, ironically his channel basically died because if this. Something funny I rewatched his Antfarm survival series recently and you can see his "decline" as the series progresses, he becomes more and more obnoxious as the series goes on.

His Sonic Colors Ultimate video right before it was what got me, with the stupid amount of unfunny sex jokes, I was already considering unsubscribing because he was pumping out those speed reading videos instead of the content I actually wanted from him but I just found myself getting more and more fed up with him throughout that video.

I can't imagine how bad his christmas video must've been.

Don't even get me started on that comic book shit. Even if he was a good YouTuber and didn't push agendas, that shift to lazy commentary about a completely different type of content was just about enough for me to unsubscribe.

Is it really too much to ask to just get someone to talk about old video games for 10 minutes without fucking it up these days?

I’m afraid it seems to be, yes. Not just old games but ANY games seems impossible for most fuckers on YouTube.

Considering VG channels I used to watch most:

IneptReviews would cover ancient games from the 80s/90s. He stopped regular output way back in 2013, tried to come back but his heart clearly wasn’t in it anymore and last time I checked, he had gone from 10s of thousand views per vid to literally double digits.

AngryJoe’s and Jim Sterling’s respective sacks of bullshit are well documented.

WorthaBuy was, and still is quite funny. But a couple of years ago he started doing Patreon/subscriber begathon videos; virtually pleading with viewers to help subsidise his new fucking house. In addition, he started to shill shamelessly for Green Man Gaming, so I left at that point.

So the single gaming channel I now follow is 21Kiloton. He does very long reviews of new games which do veer on self-indulgent, but stick almost completely to the games in hand without politics etc (unless of course the game itself has political overtones). Sadly, he releases a new video once every few months, as he clearly is happy relying on a handful of patrons rather than going just for views.

21Kiloton can grind on you IMO. Constant cursing doesn't substitute for a well thought out analysis. I can see why some people like him though, he's clearly passionate about what he does.

I think stopped Memelogy's videos after the coronavirus crisis started (liked it better when focused on Internet bullshit instead). I use to watch HCBailly's Let's Plays, but after he completely broke a game I realized I didn't care any more and left.
Strange Parts is a tech tuber that lived in Shenzhen and did electronics projects, showed himself going to the markets looking for parts. When covid happened he bitched about how bad le racism against chinkerinos was, travel ban bad, etc. Very very faggy. Then he moved to some indian reservation and had zero content for months lol
Apparently, a pipe fell and hit him on head in July. Got a brain injury from it, now he has to move to Colorado for better treatment.

Not a video but rather a lack of videos. Shammy used to do alright gaming reviews and is in that MandaloreGaming cycle of people (for better or worse) but it's really obvious that he doesn't have it in him anymore. His release schedule is just shameful at this point for someone who still has his Patreon set to monthly payments and he's probably gonna go full Spoony eventually.

Tweets every day, of course, and has no shortage of excuses on the community tab.

This stuff just really rubs me the wrong way. If you don't have it in you to make regular content, at least set the Patreon to only charge when you release a video, it's an option for a reason. Being part of the whole Vinesauce thing didn't help, but it's not my main reason for having grown to dislike him. And yes, his patrons are suckers, but that doesn't it's charming that he treats them as such.
Maybe they are there for the Discord benefits?

Still, it's a shame he stopped make videos, I think they were pretty good back in the day.
