I'm not so optimistic. It's way too late now.

If Blorb had sent him to the special needs school that was recommended for Chris way back then, he would probably have turned out fine. We know that he doesn't actually have severe mental impairment.

I'd even go so far as to say if he had professional help after the Idea Guys brainwashing, he might have managed to become somewhat normal.

There's no way he can go normie now that he fucked his mom. The alternative to the delusions would be to accept he did that horrendous act, his brain would simply not allow him to even ponder the possibility that the delusions were wrong and he is a motherfucker.
I think he would have come out of a special school a better adjusted person, but he still would be litigation happy, self important and probably would be suspicious of the rest of the world. Barb would still have that influence on him.

Bob would have had a easier time with him though.

I am not sure how much I can say due to HIPAA guidelines, But I can confirm as of today Chris is in Western State Hospital. Which if anyone is familiar with this particular place, chris will likely not stay here long, This is the kind of place that makes you wish you were in jail. Weirdly enough chris has sort of been here before in that urban exploring video.

A small part of me wishes that he was staying there for a while.
Chris is mentally ill and needs help, and even in jail, he's being egged on and encouraged in his delusional behaviour.
Being taken away from where anyone can contact him may be a step in the right direction.

In my honest opinion, the only way Chris can be a functional member of society is if he drops this Tomgirl act, works towards self-improvement, and cuts himself off from toxic people and the internet entirely. It would suck for his true and honest fanbase, for sure, and maybe it's way too late for him and he's destined to be some fruitcake forever. One can only hope at this point.

99% of people disagree with me but I'm still convinced that Chris knows the CPU goddess stuff is a larp. It seems like the kind of escapist fantasy he would really enjoy. Plus, he wasn't even great at it - he would regularly screw up and say things like "I, uh, I mean momma" when Sonichu was supposedly possessing him; indicating that this wasn't a True and Honest belief. He didn't start with the over-the-top Jesus stuff until Heilberg floated the idea of insanity being a mitigating factor in the crime. It seems like the type of ham fisted strategy Chris would employ, since claiming to be Jesus is one of the most stereotypically crazy things someone can do. I also doubt that Chris developed schizophrenia this late in life, which would be rare. Schizophrenia almost always has an onset between 18 and 35. Chris also had an actual psych eval back in the PVCC days and they didn't find that he had any kind of delusional disorder, just hardcore autism.

Additionally, Chris seems very much aware that sex with Barb was wrong given that he tried his best to conceal it. Usually when delusional people do bad things which they think are right, they don't take steps to hide it and are even proud of it. After all, they performed a miracle so why be secretive about it?

I guess none of us can know for certain, but the one thing that is true without a doubt is that Chris needed some kind of psychological intervention since PVCC.

This is why I prefaced my ham fisted attempt to analyze him with “pop psychology”.

I think it is not up to people who are not professionals and only know Chris through his well documented online behavior to decide what he is and is not suffering from.

I do think this online record of him will be a fantastic resource for anyone with a duty to assess him, but they will also be able to observe him directly and consult with other professionals.

We can speculate, however the pros will be able to conclude for sure.

Will he be allowed contact with the outside world? Or will we not see another letter from him for years?

Chris has been brainwashed into thinking he is bisexual, what will happen if he harasses other male patients or staff?
Probably not. Psyche ward security is pretty tight. People like Chris would likely be monitored 24/7 and would most likely not get any visitors unless they're family. And knowing Chris, what's left of his family might not even bother after what he did.

If that is the case, it's pretty disappointing for Chris's story to end this way, disappearing into a psych ward never to be heard from again.

And I was just getting used to our only source of milk being Jesus jail letters :(

It's seriously erratic. American psychiatric hospitals range from horrifying snake pits (state-run are often like this) to the kind of shit you get with a Cadillac health plan, which can be almost like a luxury resort (albeit one where you are not allowed to have shoelaces).
Yeah I’ve heard tales of how fucked up it can be in the states, I understand you have the issue or not having the luxury of free healthcare compared to most European countries, but I hear that it really is like One flew over cuckoos nest type situations in certain places: like these homes are some of the rattiest looking dens and filled with miserly doctors and nurses who treat their patients like complete shit and stela money and possessions if they can. Yet there are literally Orlando style resorts taht only the richest can afford,

Why is the psychiatric facility quality so evenly divided? Is it simply monetary issues or are their more serious lack of development in the understanding of mental illness in American medicine, or corruption from a government taht don’t really care that much about tards or insane people? Thé conditions seem almost 1970s like with how backwards I’ve heard some facilities are.

A true lovecraftian ending to a massive fucking internet tale.

To be honest, if it would end like this I would not even be mad.

Shitty mental health facilities exist in all countries, even those with nationalized healthcare. You can google "NHS mental health abuse" and read all about it for example. The problem is that mental health is often a lot more complicated than other conditions and extremely skilled practitioners are rare.

I agree with you with the caveat that it’s possible for someone to get so deep into their cope that they can’t get out. It’s why I’m glad Chris is in a mental health facility.

He didn't start with the over-the-top Jesus stuff until Heilberg floated the idea of insanity being a mitigating factor in the crime.
Chris is way too stupid to do that. He added Jesus to his larp because he only had the Bible for entertainment. Honestly, the way he had been progressing over the years, he might have gone Jesus back at home. It would have taken longer, but he’s been moving in that direction for years.

Also, that wouldn’t help Chris get out sooner.

I also doubt that Chris developed schizophrenia this late in life, which would be rare. Schizophrenia almost always has an onset between 18 and 35.
People who don’t know what to call Chris see a movie version of schizophrenia and think, “Hmmmmm…” Chris has mental issues beyond autism, but it’s not schizophrenia.

Back on the proverbial short bus with the fellow “slow in the minds”. If there’s a living hell, Chris is in it right now. Not even based the conditions, based on the fact that his coveted “I’m special above all!” schtick won’t mean shit on a ward where there’s probably 6 other tranny cartoon Jesus’s in residence. In jail and prison, he would’ve at least enjoyed a degree of segregation. Now? Just another shit eating monkey in the cage.

If you’ve ever wanted the worst for Chris.. here it. This is it.

Okay, this brings up another question...does the original 6-month continuance date still stand, because I thought when somebody goes to a mental facility after being considered to be incompetent to stand in their own defense, the mental facility can hold somebody as long as they think it is necessary until they are considered "competent"...i.e. there is no set date as to when that is going to be.
it depends, but typically if someone is deemed unfit, or incompetent, and they are put in a mental facility, then it can be kinda up in the air because they will first try to get the person to a point of lucidity and stability so that they CAN stand trial, and then they will set up the court proceedings, but its iffy because each case is different in a situation like that and it can vary greatly from person to person, how long it takes to get someone stable, and there are definitely cases that they cannot get them stable because they're so far gone, and they are committed indefinitely, while they keep working on it, but the foremost task at hand is to get a person stable enough to stand trial . - there is no set time, in a mental facility, yes they might have a goal, a game-plan, if you will, to get a person out by a certain time, like in time for a previously set court date, but there is no set in stone time frames, meaning, you never know when you are getting out ofa mental facility if you been committed involuntarily; it is up to them, when and if they think you are stable enough to leave and only then, you go back to jail, or prison to pick up where you left off.

I was always under the impression that when you're in your 50s, that's mid life.
nope, mid life starts at 40 and goes til around late 50s, so hes right on time LOL

Would a inmate be transferred to another location for vandalism or wrecking thier room? I can't remember the specifics but I remember chris was trying to make a Portal in his cell.
Only if he was using his own shit as a crayon to do it.

Which is entirely possible. Hell, likely even.

I do worry too if this is honestly the last we hear from Chris in a long, long time. This seems like the beginning of a long radio silence from him considering he’s being possibly institutionalised and located without any insider info onto where it could be. How will we cope in the ensuing silence?
