2022 Mad at the Internet Patch Sale

Not a submission, just this actual farm’s logo I saw on fb a few days ago that made me laugh

What counts as a purple heart in the meme wars?
Ban notifications?
That would be good badge, work these into some sort of purple heart?

The top center (white w/stars and stripes) area could be the youtube frownie and two silenced twitter birds on each side. The guru looking slobber mutt from the Halloween shirts in place of the head.

I'd like a set of Kiwi Scouts Merit Badges for the deadly sins of lolcowism. Autism Merit Badge, Tranny Merit Badge, Bad Hygiene Merit Badge, Obesity Merit Badge, Crackpot Merit Badge, Sonic Fetishism, Furry, Delusion, Litigiousness, Narcissism, Incest, Infantilism, Munchausen By Proxy, Animal Fucker, School Sharpshooting, etc. It could be an ongoing series and we could all build our own sash of dishonor.

I've seen a couple variants of these patches around. A version featuring slobbermutt would be pretty funny without being obviously from the Kiwi Farms.

Here's my quick-and-dirty mock-up of a possible design. Basically everything is open to change, especially the dog head, since I know from experience the dog's head will have to be redone to work on a 3" by 3" patch. Just wanted to see if anyone else thought this was a good idea before I commit to refining things.

EDIT: Refined the designs, came up with some variants. They're in this post.

Quick sketch (excuse the retina burning Earth and lack of text) playing on the design of the first patch in the OP using the KF logo and colours.

imo i think something simple like a little chibi cow would be more than enough. This is a crummy one i did it 10 minutes on a tablet but touch it up a bit and it could look pretty nice (the app i was using hated font adjustment, and i don't have a fancy stylus).

A kiwi in tactical gear would be neat. Wish I was home so I could throw together a half-decent digital design, but here's a shitty sharpie doodle as concept art for now:

I like this one; this is how I imagined it

I really like your idea, and a cow can represent all the lolcows here. It can be tricky doing one on specific people. We should proceed with caution with those designs. Null has enough legal issues as it is lol. I changed the moniker, but I really love yours. I think that should be attached to the dog icon, since Null really is the shepherd of the flock here.

I was inspired by Balisong Ballsack's design. I wanted to include MATI in some way.

To the ladies who mention there isn't enough cuteness in patch suggestions, have these not caught your eyes?

Tell us your secrets. Help Jersh sell patches for you.

Good to know, I always just assumed the velcro bits were sewn on, or something more elaborate than just some glue.
It can be, depends on the manufacturer.

Best practice would be glued and sewn.

Glued because having a cavity in the middle is going to cause differential stress on the stitching if it's only sewn around the outside. Stitching because it secured the edges from the glue degrading over time from uv or whatever if it's only glued.

A lot of embroiderers are primarily print/design shops first, so they don't have sewing machines around, it's more heat presses and dtg stuff.

I've ordered Velcro backed patches from Badgerhound in the past and they were sewn on very nicely (I guess glued too? idk).

If its a limitation of the embroiderer being used I understand if its not offered.
If its a price thing, I still don't mind paying more for a Velcro back.
Ideally you'd want people to be able to pick what they want but that makes things more complicated obviously.

If worst comes to worst, at least I know its pretty simple to DIY.
