It's a bit amazing how little foreigners understand about what's happened with Roe. The reason Democrats are in such a panic right now is they don't want to have to vote on abortion or to have anyone vote on abortion.

Part of the problem is Democrats have argued there should be zero limits on abortion. California for instance seems to say you should be able to have abortions up to 6 months in. Switzerland on the other hand only allows for abortion up to 12 weeks in, more conservative than Florida and its 15 week limit. Switzerland effectively is more conservative regarding abortion than many conservatives in the US.

Non-Americans should try to realize that many of their own countries have been vastly more conservative about abortion than the US has been.

Marriage is just a contract. I don't see how the government can (or should) prohibit two people from entering into a contract with one another.

Contract law is a state issue, governed by state law. And of course the government can and should be able to interfere in contracts. Governments rightly prohibit contracts of all sorts of things, prostitution, illegal drugs, many different things that are contrary to the greater good and bad for society at large. We are quickly losing grasp of that important concept, which is why our society is a free for all for all vices imaginable, drugs, gambling, you name it.

Its funny because Weed is on a trend towards legalization, and realists on both sides admit it will likely be legal in most or all states (if not outright at the federal level) within 25 years or so. Right now abortion is on the same standing as weed, its not a fucking protected or enshrined right but there is nothing stopping it from becoming a widely legalized action.

I'm more leaning on the pro-abortion side mostly for the elimination of horrific genetic disorders, but these demonic fucks are making me more pro-life. My main gripe with this crowd is how they treat abortion as pleasurable as eating a delicious cake. You would think they would understand the mental ramifications of undergoing such a procedure, but they dont have a damn empathetic bone in their body. So you know what?
