So, fun little question I wanted to ask you guys: what's your favorite playable race in the Elder Scrolls franchise? We've all got that one race that we just love to play; what's yours?
There's also a mod that lets you see out of windows:I've been playing Daggerfall Unity this winter and having a blast. Highly recommend with a couple extra mods (if you get the GOG version which has a bunch of mods included):
- Convenient Clock
- Fixed Dungeon Exteriors
- Musical Ambience Remixed
- Decorator is kinda similar to openmw's decorating if you're into that. A little clunky but still fun. Some of the editing to-dos on the mod page are done already (like ship decorating)
There's always an off-putting amateurishness to it that makes them feel out of place. This is also often coupled with the fact that the lines written for them are generally terrible, even by Bethesda standards. There is just something about how voice actors for mods speak that makes me cringe super hard. It's the same with 'twitter voice actors', specifically the women for some reason. It's like they are trying too hard or something. I can only assume its because most actual voice actors are actual trained actors, while 'twitter VAs' are just internet goblins that think they can act.
There are mods that add a great number of additional spells I found made my full mage build a ton of fun, to the point any other build felt really dull in comparison.Maybe a full mage? Being a mage in Skytim is pretty miserable, but that just makes it more satisfying to pull off.
Well I beat Tribunal today, and boy was it a PITA. It's not just the combat, but just getting around. I wasn't expecting such a sharp difficulty spike after doing the main quest. I'm making a note that next time I'll have to level up more. I'm going to start Bloodmoon next.
What level are you at, and how much money are you dumping into trainers? The game economy became nothing for me about the time I met Vivec and I had to stop myself from buying levels to not make the game piss-easy. Even Gaenor when I got to him made me wonder 'really?' when I came across him.
If you ever do a modded playthrough next time, you could try using this, this, and this. The first two rebalance the DLCs to make them as if they were part of the original game from the beginning. When Bethesda first released them, they balanced them for high-level player characters who had already completed most of the game's content, which is silly since the vast majority of people playing them will not be that original subset of players from 2002. Also this mod will stop the obnoxious Dark Brotherhood attacks from happening right away.Well I beat Tribunal today, and boy was it a PITA. It's not just the combat, but just getting around. Ah, my n'wah.I tend to stick with Argonians, dunmer, or imps. I'm sick of viking larp and very few games let you be a weird lizard person who sounds like they smoke forty packs a day. Dunmer just look cool and have the most interesting continent, and imps are a good generic human guy race without being quite as dull as Bretons.
I've been playing with Remiel and Xelzaz for the first time and I have a hard time with their voice acting.Remiel's nice just because she's a normal companion in a sea of elf waifu bait and furry shit (Inigo's a bro, he gets a pass). I have a soft spot for Vilja for that reason, she's probably the prototypical terrible voice acting Skyrim companion but at the same time she doesn't really have a boohoo tragic backstory like every companion nowadays.
Remi and Xelzaz are probably the best the modding community has for followers. If you want a cringey, don't-cut-yourself-with-that-edge, British follower I present to you Daegon Kaekiri. The mod author is also a "singer" that makes shitty zoomer pop music.I've been playing with Remiel and Xelzaz for the first time and I have a hard time with their voice acting.
Mostly because I have probably around one thousand hours on this game now and hearing VAs that are not only new, but also don't sound like they're about to die of boredom is very alienating.
Honestly aside Neloth, Skyrim's voice acting didn't blow me away to say the least.
I've got no lead on that exact armor but here's some lesser known modding sites that might have something close:Do you guys know any armor where I can make it look like a death knight like so:

Nexus got jackshit and I’m even willing to try lovers lab despite my distaste for porn mods. I just want to make my cool orc death knight with johnskyrim’s shadowmourne mod.
Thanks I’ll look through the trash to find some gold.I've got no lead on that exact armor but here's some lesser known modding sites that might have something close:
