Salary for a skilled team leader or combat trainer is around 50-100K a month right now while western toy operator aides behind lines are being paid from 20-50K a month and the ones in rear with logistics/everything else in Kiev are making around 10-20K a month to sit in an office. I think the rest of the world is looking at what's happening in the west with a mixture of awe struck fear and disgust. Black Africa, for example, ignored all of the Covid bullshit. I mean, it's as old as the M16. Modernization with newer, better warheads has continued to happen and it's not useless as a light antitank weapon. There are modern tandem HEAT warheads for the RPG7 that may be usable against certain types of MBT using ERA or similar armor in the field, I can't say for sure.

It's not a guided or fire and forget launcher but it also doesn't cost a 100k per launcher and 50k per shot either.

And let's not forget that the cream of the crop of the US military has been BTFO multiple times by 80 IQ monkeys with RPG7s.

The thing is the US projects power in its spheres of influence with its military. This is a very archaic way of thinking. It's basically the old imperialist way, and corporations are separate from that.

Power projection in the modern age is defined by economic terms. The problem with the capitalist system is that we don't control corporate investments and don't restrict them because our government is subservient to their interests. And our government doesn't want to compete with that.

So American power projection is limited to aggressive action. Either covertly through the CIA or the US Military.

China's advantage is that it is a system of state capitalism, where all businesses are subservient to the state, and not the other way around. This allows China to project economically, because even 'private investment' in other countries is controlled by state interests. China has no need to project militarily.

And countries have seen what happens to being subservient to American capital is. China weilds its economy like a military force and can peacefully influence countries without using its military, making it much more palatable. China also plays the long game, knowing that investing in nations will eventually push politics and ideologies towards them without the destabilization of collapsing governments.

America has enjoyed a position of power for a very long time and is still rooted in Imperialist military thinking. This is why all of our modern foreign policy adventures have been concurrent disasters. We view ourselves as the sole hegemon and use brute force to do it. This method is outdated and is allowing for cracks in the American empire to show.

This is actual delusion since Lockheed and other defense contractors have reported to Congreas massive supply chain issues. This is from ball bearings to and I quote the CEO "the bane of his existence", rocket motors. The US is having trouble meeting demand for its own arms stocks, forget Ukraine.

I've noticed a lot of these people are stuck in the WWII era of thinking where we have a manufacturing base and generally tried nation building.

All of this is simply untrue. Supply chains are global, and factories in the US are generally limited to one or two and that's it. Also with the way pork goes in Congress, parts for weapon A are made in ten different states and all have to be shipped to one plant overseas or one in the states.

Ramping up production is not simply pressing a button or building another factory like this is an RTS. This takes years and billions of dollars, along with the red tape that comes from building arms factories.

The problem with making Soviet munitions for the Ukraine in the USA is not just setting up factories, logistic chains, training workers etc.

It is also making something that will be only useful for a handful of years. If lets say Wakanda wants to buy russian ammo for its T34-s, will they buy the cheaper Commie rounds, or the more expensive American Freedom Bullets of Ukraiyne?

Not only would you be setting up new factories, but also ones with a very short lifespan. Biden maybe demwnted enough to do it, but even when done, these factories would be an economic drain or shut down as soon as the hohols fold.

Someone more familiar may be able explain how modern ammo is made, but I take it involves special machinery and not something that can be toggled on to make different caliber rounds on a whim.
