I feel like pointing out that the Steven Universe ends with Spinel—who was essentially created to be Steven’s mother’s pet—being taken in to serve the exact same role to his grandmother aunts. Basically a kept woman for all powerful, domineering female giants, entertaining them by being a moron. I wonder why this resonates with Kevin.

Also, I love that the gender-specials who made this show introduced two they-thems, but not a Gem who used male pronouns. This feels… telling.
