I can’t remember where it was said (it may have been that now-deleted thread at the slap forums “WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON AT BAM’S”) but I’m pretty sure he signed over a lot of financial control to Phil completely on his own (the logic checks out on this when you consider that Bam whines about every setback he suffers at the hands of his family except this one) due to being too busy being a non-skateboarding faggot on MTV.

The fact that he’s never once ranted on social media about the fact that his dad literally gives him a weekly allowance like he’s 8 (I’ve heard estimates that range from $5K to $10K a week) is telling and probably means his arm wasn’t twisted at all and deep down he knows it was the right thing to do.

It’s not an uncommon occurrence for families to have a sexual abuser among them while the other members either don’t know or never say anything. A lot of families operate on a “don’t ask don’t tell” basis. I’m not saying it’s right, but people can be very avoidant when it comes to acknowledging the elephant in the room. Keeping up appearances is priority number one.

I don’t think our fren is saying ape and Phil willingly let Vito get a hold of bam, but there’s a chance the two were left alone over the years and maybe something happened idk. I know a bam (without the money and fame) who is 30 somethin and blames their parents for being molested as a child by another family member. Same excuses as bam, same deadbeat parenting with kids who always wondering where mom is. Big meth habit, constant turmoil etc. It’s sad but ultimately addicts will blame anyone but themselves. I’m probably misremembering but I remember Phil getting up really early to go work in a bakery, and Ape working as a hairdresser. They lived in a modest ranch house. When Jackass took off they moved to the McMansion.
