Lmao Moj... Microsoft cant leave things be . I am curious if that mod that added hardcore drugs still exists. Last time I heard about it was in 2012.

It still does. You just have to search around the legacy version of curseforge.Lmao Moj... Microsoft cant leave things be . I am curious if that mod that added hardcore drugs still exists. Last time I heard about it was in 2012.
Mojang has been more into leftist shit by the time Microsoft purchased them. Having an anti-gun philosophy, especially post-Paris/Vegas shootings (and current day mass shootings around the world, including America), is as bad as them simping for LGTBQ+, BLM (during the St. Floyd riots), Stop Asian Hate (a year later after the Asian cleaner shooting of March) and even Ukraine (by the time Russia's invasion to Ukraine happened). And most companies do the exact same shit, follow whatever China says just to collect BlackRock money.Mojang: "We can't have guns in Minecraft because kids can emulate it! We need the game to be family-friendly!"
Things that are family-friendly according to Mojang:
But a gun? In an unofficial Minecraft mod? Now that's a bridge too far, my friend!
- Killing people with bladed weapons.
- Killing people with bows and crossbows.
- Killing people with fireworks launched at them. (4th of July's just around the corner, Mojang! Won't you think about the children?)
- Killing thieving black creatures to steal their gems.
- Burning down a village and killing the inhabitants.
- Enslavement and exploitation of long-nosed merchants.
- Blowing up churches and other religious structures with TNT.
Call me pessimistic, but I feel like this could be the beginning stages of Microsoft getting rid of Java Edition.I really hope i don't jinx us, but i assume mods will be safe from this, because if Mojang hasn't struck down the fucking Sex Mod by now, they aren't taking down shit like Flans Mod or Vics.
No one wants this change, this is just like the report system Mojang forced into the game, i hope this gets reverted unlike that though.
Realistically Java will never go away, even if Microsoft tries to kill it people will just keep using things like MultiMC and start sharing versions person to person. Now will they try something like that? I am almost 100% sure they wanted to or might even plan too, but I think Java will survive no matter what.Call me pessimistic, but I feel like this could be the beginning stages of Microsoft getting rid of Java Edition.
"Sorry, but in order to protect our brand image/the children/our ESG score, we must prevent people from installing dangerous mods onto their game. If you delete your copy of Java Edition and switch to Bedrock, you'll get a free cape and minecoins!"
They've already given a free copy of bedrock to java users who migrated their accounts, and they're turning off login for old mojang accounts in September. I feel like phasing out Java entirely will happen sooner rather than later at this point.
Mojang is incapable of killing off Java completely. Omniarchive exists, and there's nothing stopping from playing even the newest JE versions without a legitimate account. Hell, my first experience with Minecraft was with a cracked launcher back in 2011, it was always possible due to the nature of Java. It's all a bunch of free dependencies with only a bunch of Mojang exclusive ones, and it's all accessible for anyone to download and run with the right software.Realistically Java will never go away, even if Microsoft tries to kill it people will just keep using things like MultiMC and start sharing versions person to person. Online interactions aren't judged by the ESRB and i imagine most other Game Rating systems don't count Online interactions either. I saw the theory that this is because of laws being pushed in certain states (mainly west coast ones) that revolve around "Firearms advertising", and that this might be Mojang complying with these laws in a sloppy and unhelpful way.Sounds to me like the whole gun thing is more of a "Game ratings" issue than a Mojang and Microsoft issue. I have little knowledge the whole situation regarding game ratings, but Minecraft is rated E for everyone, is one of the biggest games in the world and has a substantial child player base. Given the game's status there's likely plenty of incentive to ensure that Minecraft remains as "kid-friendly" as possible. Mojang likely enforced this out of obligation than through any desire of their own, but I don't work at Mojang Studios.
On a side note, I don't know why you guys are still perpetuating the "Java edition is at death's door!" theory. There's isn't a lot that supports it and both Mojang and Microsoft have more to lose from phasing Java out than to gain.
These are mods, so nothing at all to do with ESRB ratings. Skyrim isn't AO rated because people make porn mods for it.Sounds to me like the whole gun thing is more of a "Game ratings" issue than a Mojang and Microsoft issue. That, and even the ESRB admitted to themselves that they do not even pay attention to video games, let alone play them. They just look at the cover and rated them as such, like with every other rating system. It's why you rarely see E and T games more of E10+ and M games.Online interactions aren't judged by the ESRB and i imagine most other Game Rating systems don't count Online interactions either. You're correct, the deadline is in September. Unfortunately, this is a very common situation and Mojang simply do not care about people losing access to the game they paid for.I finally caved and decided to migrate my account, only to discover that they want to confirm my identity using the email I used when purchasing the game— an email I deleted almost ten years ago. I contacted Mojang about it, but I suspect that I probably only have a few more months to play before the game I purchased is effectively stolen from me.
reading on /v/ once that mod kind of died.I really hope i don't jinx us, but i assume mods will be safe from this, because if Mojang hasn't struck down the fucking Sex Mod by now
