He is and always was a hype man; and while a hype man may have an edge in the early days, he is eventually edged out by others. He's a friendly face to draw attention, for the era where you won't be called a nigger and didn't risk having Mike Watson show up your house with a baseball bat. I wouldn't be surprised if he makes his millions off other games and stuff now, since he's shown what a good little boy he can be (on top of being Twitch popular); I'm also shocked he hasn't moved on from fighting games, despite being a multi-millionaire.

I didn't like the Mortal Kombat kids but at least their appearance made the timeline advance and have somewhat of a plot with continuity, with some cool moments.
The new game is basically the Redditor consoomer comfort zone of just having the first game over and over only now everyone is "good" and they all fight wacky alternate universe versions of themselves. Why even have a story mode at this point?

Graphically it doesnt look that much of an improvement over MK11 so it makes you wonder why just not do what they did in the MK 11 Switch port. And why there are no PS4 and Xbox One ports since there is no way I can buy that these graphics cant run in their hardware, even if it comes with a slight downgrade (tho nothing on the scale of the switch).

I hate X-Rays for breaking any suspension of disbelief in the fights. I know it's a fighting game so people are absurdly durable but seeing the characters get up and quip all fine after getting stabbed through the brain is absurd and ruins it for me

Then there's the Defenders of the Realm cartoon that had Clancy Brown voice Raiden. Sonya was really annoying in the show, and Jax's episode was unintentionally funny.

Nope, Ripley. His favorite director is James Cameron, Aliens is his favorite movie, and Sigourney Weaver's role is his favorite character. Not only is the little girl gonna have to go through life as a Hapa that looks overwhelmingly like the pudgy mom, but she's going to have to come to terms that her name comes from a blockbuster. No family heritage, no legacy meaning. Just a movie from the 80s.

Finished the story. It was... well it's not as bad as MK11. I did like the twist that evil Shang Tsun was pretending to be Kronika. Though this multiverse shit needs to die off. I thought this was a thing that would be kept in the theater's but now that's infesting the gaming world I have no hope. The kombat is ok, though this kameo shit is not fully realized. I only use Stryker as a means to reposition my myself after a string. Again, I just wish they made a game that focuses on the tournament and the tournament alone. None of this spec op, world ending, prophecy bullshit that the writers are making up while also striking for better wages. MK9 story while not perfect, it's the best we got from NRS. And they are never going to re release any of there old games, becuase besides the costumes the gameplay and dark game setting alone would make modern MK look like babies playtime.

The problem with the Kameo shit is that Capcom had it figured out by MvC2. MvC1 you got a semi-random support character to do their thing; MvC2, you had a team of three, and could set their support to be one of three things, they were a fully fleshed out character, on top of performing support stuff.

Boon fuckes that up by having strictly support characters; but they're not just support characters, we know these characters. We know Kano spins like a ball and Sonya shoots rings... Why are they not fucking playabke characters?!

The one being kind of disappeared from relevancy after Deception. Many thought he was going to be the final boss of Armaggedon and, looking back, cant blame them for thinking that.

Outside of one or two mentions here and there for fan service sake, this being that should be a big deal is just....gone at this point.

Yeah, honestly. Fighting games (especiallly ones with swords like Soul Calibur) in general have an element of attacks never being crippling blows and as you never see the damage you can accept that. It comes from action movies/martial arts movies, which inspired the series, where an attack only is a problem when it needs to be, so you only see the details if they need you to know this person is fucked.

Despite the tons of blood being spurted in the series, nothing ever seems like a serious injury, primarily because the copious blood gives it a cartoony feel. But going beyond that into seeing all the internal damage breaks that disconnect I have.

Incredibly autistic on my part but im sure it makes some sense
