What's amazing is that, the following night, he sperged out for six hours, despite the fact he should have realized this whole thing is a dumb hill to die on. All because July had the temerity to point out that Nick is a non-practicing lawyer (objectively correct). Then he made the stream private, so what even was the point? Was he just jerking Daddy Dick off?
You're looking at this in the wrong way. That's like listening to Ralph interview imaginary Andrew Tate and asking "
What was he thinking here? What did he mean by this?" He meant nothing. He's spiraled totally out of control and is doing what satiates his ego at any given moment.
Ironically, Nick's behavior towards Eric July in the past week is really similar to Ralph's behavior towards Nick. Both disputes went nuclear over seemingly trivial slights: Nick mocking Ralph's flatulence, July pointing out his lawyers are, by definition, practicing lawyers. But just like how Ralph was aggrieved by his perception that Nick was icing him out and didn't want to appear as a guest anymore, Nick appears to be aggrieved about being put on some sort of "list" by July, even though it could just be that people are realizing that Nick has been melting down for a year and it's getting worse.
I can't parse what he's apologizing for anymore. He's not sorry about what he was saying, he's only sorry that he said it in such a "belligerent" manner? If that's really the case then he's completely tone deaf. People aren't laughing at this 7 hours sloshed-fest because of how "belligerent" he got with his points. This feels like a weird narcissistic cope, "I didn't really do anything wrong. I did the right thing in the wrong way is all, and I'm actually kind of amazing for recognizing it and giving this apology!"
It's not a real apology. He didn't apologize for the substance of what he said. He is apologizing for saying it in a belligerent manner. The substance of what Nick said is that Eric July is a racist idiot who needs new lawyers and is at risk of going to jail because of what he said on Rekieta's show, but that was not the problem, the tone was the problem.
The reality is that Nick likely blames July for provoking him into making an utter fool of himself with an off-handed comment. I believe that he hates July with a burning passion and thinks everything that has happened is Eric July' s fault. July's video where he expresses that he is moving on and won't be addressing it further will probably inflame Nick more, because he will see it as big-dogging him.
Nick has shown an inability to accept that his behavior has any bearing any of the criticism and mockery he has received. Rekieta is blameless. We have the leaked DMs from a former fan, PerceptionChek, where Nick viciously attacked Elissa and said he hopes she dies. Because the reason Nick was attracting criticism at that time was not that he was presenting himself as a sex craving drug user who posted a picture of a bottle wedged up his bare ass, it was because a clip channel posted videos of him talking about all that and clips of a small-time streamer (Claire) who got like 100-250 viewers on her own streams.
The way that old Nick would handle this situation would be to do a stream where he talks about how he hates drama and how, he wants to be friends with everyone. Then he would imply without saying that Eric July is a racist idiot who needs new lawyers and is at risk of going to jail because of what he said on Rekieta's show. He would then do the perfunctory throat-clearing that he loves Eric July and that he hopes the Rippaverse is a massive success and grosses a billion dollars. Then, if July responded aggressively, he would exclaim about how this always happened and he got betrayed again.
The way new Nick handles this is whatever the fuck the past week has been.
From a legal stand-point, Nick is disingenuously making selective arguments about something that didn't actually happen. You can make up any legal facts you want about a "shooting" that never happened and probably be right about something. You can also create any potential legal outcome you want by stacking the facts one way or the other.
Correct. That's why it's a waste of time to even engage it.
