As I mentioned previously, OB/GYN's prescribe progesterone supplementation both pre&postconception to women with a history of recurrent miscarriages because A) sometimes it works and B) they can't do fuck all else.

But I doubt they even bother to test these women's progesterone levels (which is a fool's errand to collect and interpret anyhow). And they are supplementing these women regardless of the test results if they are even testing in the first place.

You can test women's progesterone levels and know approximal ranges where they should be at to support a baby if you know what stage the woman is in her 30 day cycle. Progesterone is required to maintain early pregnancy as the placenta has not been formed yet, until the placenta is formed to fully anchor the baby into the womb the progesterone is what holds the baby in place.

I don't doubt that there exist doctors that just prescribe it without testing since women's health issues are all but balked at by the medical community, but there is a reason it works and fairly reasonable if someone is experiencing consistent miscarriages the culprit could very well be low progesterone since without the spike in it to hold on to a fertilized egg it will drop and trigger a period. Now why women are experiencing nearly Nationwide progesterone issue is an different discussion, more than likely you can look at synthetic estrogen birth controls causing hormone issues/fertility issues, poor nutrition in food, etc.

All this to say, it can be measurable and it's a hard diagnosis to make. I am aware of individuals who could not carry a baby past the first trimester all because their health care provider could not be bothered testing their progesterone levels and once it was done the pregnancy was successful.

Is progesterone applied like some testosterone supplements where it’s topical and you have to wipe down anything you touch because it can be absorbed by others? If so between the drinking and absorbing a hormone magnified by estrogen I think we might have found the source of Nicks change of behavior
