Brianna Wu / John Walker Flynt - "Biggest Victim of Gamergate," Failed Game Developer, Failed Congressional Candidate

Thinking about it, it must be kind of soul destroying to be Wu.

Being the "godzilla of tech feminism" requires her every day to assert that women are disadvantaged in the engineering field. Meanwhile, she secretly knows that when she was a man she was a fat, pathetic loser who never achieved anything and that now, as a woman, her incredibly modest successes in engineering are entirely due to leeching off a successful man.

I'm sure being a living contradiction to your whole philosophy must be the kind of thing that gnaws at you.

The only thing that would make Rev 60 more of a train wreck was if Wu shelled out the $150k for Denuvo.

THE ALT-RIGHT IS RACIST AS FUCK help me find examples plz

Stupid cunt could learn to spell "Breitbart" first. That would be a nice start. Professional journalist John Flynt everyone.

This is the major problem with Wu deciding that she's going to be an investigative journalist now. Firstly, "investigating" requires actual research and fact sourcing, not just requesting anecdotal stories from random people in her twitter echo chamber. Secondly, she's only looking for evidence of the thing she specifically wants to write about (Breitbart malfeasance) rather than a story that starts from a relatively neutral point. Her work ethic is such that real reporting would be too much effort, so she wants to write "hot takes" that would look bad in a tabloid.

So Brianna's podcast has a sponsorship deal from Blue Apron (listen to the first 10 seconds of https://www.relay.fm/rocket/85). Looks like the theory of her being a legit shill for them isn't that far off.
Yeah older episodes also got sponsored by BA so it's pretty much a given that the Twitter shilling is tied to the podcasts being sponsored, since they're all Wu's creation.

They probably send Wu free meals every so often and expect praise on Twitter in return as well as the typical sponsor plugging on the podcast.

I suspect that Wu misspelled it on purpose because she's terrified of Milo's fanboys finding her tweet and tipping him off before John can put together yet another Twitter diarrhea tirade as a Medium post.

Those are all good points- John is probably the most personally loathsome lolcow still active, and yet somehow manages to rake in $2000 a month in cucksbucks. There's a lot of mutual-supporting going on, so the real number may be far lower, but it's still a lot.

I imagine that it's holdovers from the SJW part of anti-GG- perhaps Wu's only smart move in this whole affair was to find a group/movement which has as one of it's basic tenets that being a truly vile individual is fine if you're vile to the right people and dress it up with buzzwords. He's got a reasonable Twitter reach and could probably have drummed up 500 cucks a couple of years back.

Even then, as the leaks showed and that airline incident demonstrated, he's just out-and-out repellent to the point where even the SJ crowd consider him a raging embarrassment. I imagine if he first appeared now rather than a few years back, his patreon would be down below $100.
Airline incident?

No way any decent newspaper/media outlet would pay for anything Wu wrote. Shes a lolsuit waiting to happen. Though they will gladly put up stuff she wrote for free.

How does Patreon work?

Do they keep billing the mark donor every month until they decide to turn off the tap - or is the donation for a fixed term then subject to renewal?

It depends on your settings: you can set patreon up so that it bills the person on the first of every month/as soon as they pledge or so that it bills them at the end of the month.

This was because many people would pledge and then cancel the pledge before they got billed so that they could get access to perks/troll people like DSP who have a financial goal they need to hit each month in order to put on some sort of perk event (i.e. if we hit $1200 this month, I will put on a sonic hat and jerk off on camera next month) into believing they have already hit their goal early so that people won't donate and they won't feel the need to plug their patreon.

The prevailing belief as backed up by Randi Harper is that Johnny Flynt and the hipster clique artificially inflate each other's patreons by giving money to each other/themselves every month so that they can look more important than they are.
