Alan Wake II - The highly anticipated sequel that no one cared about to a game from 2010 that no one cared about

Its pretty amazing to see people here just paying for anti-white slop, wrapped around a shitty game. "its ok, I will put up with it, just shit all over my race, I am ok with it, we are so lame lol".
You can't break the conditioning on a lot of consoomers bro. The buckbroken white man will gladly watch a nigger shit all over his race, inching him one step closer to genocide, so long as it's done in a quirky way with flashing lights on his screen.
you know its on piracy sites right?
If they're going "Erm it's actually not that bad guys." I guarantee they bought it. Pirates shit on things harder than people who never even play the games do.

A black FBI woman in a videogame isn't going to kill the White race. The character's comments were obnoxious and unnecessary, and the writers probably believe everything they wrote.
But seeing as though every AAA studio is going up in flames right now, those writers will soon be out of a job.
Game developers haven't acknowledged criticism from their players since 2012. I guess I was being :optimistic: because I don't want Remedy to go away too. Oh well... :(

Not sure if I'm close to the end, but definitely far into the game and overall I like it, but can't really put my finger on why I still continue with it, because it's far from perfect for me and there are actually many things that always leave a bad taste in my mouth and can't shake off, which usually would result in me quitting and never looking back. Here it's different though for some reason.

Cons:
1. Overall diversity/wokeness
This is by far the most diverse small town in fucking nowhere. Seriously, walk through it and check any group of people and it usually will be a wild mix of white, black and asian. It is baffling!
For starters try it in the diner. It's really in your face!
This really hurts the immersion as in my head they appear as signs saying "good boy points here please!", especially compared to how the town was represented in AW1, but I guess that's what happens when you have to live 13 years in a very dark place.

2. Main character swap
Seeing the other promo materials with the white detective just made it feel like an insult at first, but when they started to throw the Old Gods into the mix claiming that Tor is her grandfather it just completely fell apart for me. Now I can only see this claim as complete bullshit or they actually pull through with it and then it'll still feel like complete bullshit to me. Both wouldn't have been the case with the other detective.

3. Combat/Gameplay
The one thing I really had a blast with in Alan Wake 1 (and especially American Nightmare) is here one of the weaker parts: gunplay/combats.
Enemies are bullet sponges and although I ran past optional encounters I had ammo issues very early, so much so that I had to search for ammo to be able to get around the first wolf encounter. Granted, that only happened once, but shows the more survival-horror-direction it takes compared to AW1.
Btw wolfs: they are the worst enemies in the game. Playing on a controller so ymmv but these fuckers are way too fast, get you from all directions, you can't see shit because of all the vegetation around and they take an insane amount of ammo (two shotgun shots + multiple pistol bullets). Yes, you can nail them in place for a second via the flashlight boost, but this also only helps so much, because they get up very fast and then are just gone. I hate them.
Same goes for the axe throwing guys. Run (more like teleport) away like crazy, then throw at you from random directions with axes and when you get 1-2 bullets in they are gone again.
Thing is: when you try to look around in an area you practically don't have any other option than to get rid of especially these two types of enemies.
What makes it worse is that you don't really have much of another option aside from that - no stealth (you can't even crouch) and completely useless melee actions (hit a guy with one rifle shot and then had to throw in like 10 punches that he goes down). So exploration is sometimes quite annoying because of that, especially in the first part of the game.

4. Jump scares
Grey images underlaid with obnoxious sounds thrown in your face... Seriously?

Pros:
1. "Open World"
I'm a huge fan of the location the story takes place in and always was bummed that they scrapped the open world approach that was planned for AW1. It feels like that they were able to pull off at least a lite version of that vision in AW2 now and I really appreciate to go around, check and explore the different areas more and just be consumed by the landscape.

2. Exploration
This is in combination with 1: the world is not that big and is filled with a sensible amount of collectibles I would say. So it's not an insane amount of garbage, but just stuff that usually is very welcome when you find it.

3. Overall atmosphere
I personally can't play most horror games because I hate jump scares so very much and I was already quite afraid that AW2 might be too much, but nobe, it's quite perfect for me (and luckily they don't happen that often). So yeah, they really hit the mark here for me.

4. Humour/Charm
(with timestamp)

Neutral:
1. Story
Don't really have a strong opinion yet, aside from that the characters behave completely out of place sometimes, but the overall story arc is fine I guess. Let's see what I'll think about it when it ends.

Short comment about Remedy: I'm sad to see this company jump the woke train. I've some fond memories of Max Payne that I first played during an eerie winter night. So much so that every winter I get into that Max Payne mood and at least fire it up to have 5min of fun in the tutorial level (which is just a snowy street with a button that you can press to spawn enemies, but it captured this feeling of "cold isolation" so great). Was looking forward to the remake especially as I thought that they have dodged that wokeism bullet, but yeah, I'm good I guess.

Can you even play Alan Wake 2 without playing the other "shared universe" entires? It's bad enough it happens in cinema, but at least then it's not a huge time investment.
People told me before release you *maybe* needed to look up stuff in Control, but then after release I see people claiming that someone from Quantum Break is the father of the black FBI Agent and shit and I'm just like "lol go fuck yourself Sam Lake" cause I don't have time to play a decades worth of shit just to get caught up on for Alan Wake II.

I can't even be assed to replay Alan Wake to catch myself up.

Mr Door is a rename/change of actor for Mr Hatch from Quantum Break. I didn’t play that game so I only get the sense that he’s vaguely powerful but he doesn’t really do much and the final time you meet with him ends totally anticlimactically.

The Federal Bureau of Control is featured surprisingly prominently throughout the game. If you haven’t played Control, then you still get the impression that they’re kind of like the X-Files / Men in Black, in that they monitor weirdness and step in if it gets out of hand.

The other major tie-in is Ahti the janitor. He shows up all over the place and if you didn’t play Control then he is easily the weirdest part of the game. He’s kind of a god of Earth which is why he knows everything and can show up in the real world AND the Dark Place with no issues moving back and forth. This is also why he represents himself as a janitor, both for humility and because he’s literally cleaning up humanity’s messes.

I played Control and kind of hated it, but I immediately noticed that this guy looks like David Lynch

And considering the plot of Control and Alan Wake its intentional. I just can't figure out if its up its own ass about it or not.

Unrelated but I wish David Lynch was in more things as himself, he was a bright spot in that awful Cleveland Show and he just seems like such a interesting dude.

He has a fun youtube channel if you can find it.

So, the sheboon is supposed to be the granddaughter of Tor or something. Is it ever explained why a Norse god had non-white progeny, or am I giving them too much credit?
This reminds me of that nigger from Dad of War: Ragnarock, and it's as out of place there as it is here.

I'm 12 hours into the game and I haven't seen a single anti-White thing so far. Is it further on?

@TVB
Do you actually have good taste in anything?

Yes - the end of my dick. Well, your Mom seems to think so.
