EVS thought he was top dog in the Indie Comicsgate scene But a million promises to never deliver is just weaksauce. Eric played the comics out like he wanted to make a continuing franchise and money. Thats why Eric's plans were so much better and none of the comicsgate people can come to terms with that.

Eric has created the alternative comic company EVS and others talked about at the start off Comicsgate. He’s put together successful campaigns, delivered on the promised comics and has brought on other artists to help his label grow.

Other creators can’t seem to figure this stuff out.

It shows how valuable a publisher is for getting comics out to the audience. DC and Marvel were top dogs because they had top notch talent, enforced deadlines, and got the books out to their customers. They also had predatory contracts and other bad behaviors but they still kept putting out books month after month.

The alternative funding model has been great for small creators wanting to make their own books outside the current political mess at the big two but it’s mostly a sea of one off books and ridiculous timelines for delivery.

It’s going to be interesting to see if Eric ends up growing to the point he becomes as big as Marvel or DC. With their publication numbers that doesn’t look too hard.

Rekieta could have been a remora on that success story but instead he chose the way of the balldo and juju. Good job you drunk idiot, I hope you make a million dollars.
