I had to vote Rekieta for Lolcow of the Year. He's the reason I started lurking the Farms in 2019. I actually didn't know this place existed until I started following the Vic case.
And yeah, for anyone who was around at that time, Nick came across as pretty genuinely wholesome. While his outro song is cringey now, it was fitting back then. Sure, some off-color jokes here and there, but he had his priorities straight. He was a lawyer dad who loved his wife and kids. That's why this thread is full of long-time users going, "Well shit, I guess he fooled me, too." Even people who are familiar with lolcow traits saw Nick, for the most part, as a Christian family man. Back then, the thread even collectively decided against posting his dox, because he hadn't done anything to earn lolcow status yet.
I sort of lost interest after he stopped doing trial streams and covering lawsuits. When I saw he had interviewed Rittenhouse, I realized I hadn't watched him in months, decided to give it a shot, and was surprised at how awkward and uncomfortable it was. After that, I didn't check up on him again for a while, only coming back to this thread about six weeks ago. So it was pretty shocking to see how much he's visibly declined. If you have any addicts among your friends or family, you recognize that hollow, spiritually dead look in his eyes.
Even if you don't win, Rackets, you'll always hold a special place in my heart as the first time I've personally witnessed the full rise and fall of a lolcow. I really wish children weren't involved, but such is life.
You're also the reason I now get to laugh at Internet weirdos and degenerates, including yourself, with all the autists here, who turned out to be surprisingly nice. So, thanks for that.
