I'm just surprised that you guys are seriously having a tantrum about this. The Elden Ring character creator, really?
There is no reason to dehumanize female/male bodies. That's why people get upset about it. The game gives you a choice between man and woman, just call the options female / male. It's the same nonsense with calling women uterus-havers or birthing people. If sex is such an issue, don't give a choice and make the protagonist a robot. A robot has no sex. Problem solved. But if you make a character that is humanoid, then removing the options for female/male only shows how little you value woman and men. We went from embracing woman for being able to give birth and give life to taking everything away that makes this sex strong and dumbed it down to something nameless.
There have been games with diverse characters 20 years ago and those were successful. Many white gamers praise GTA San Andreas and hold it above any other release. Want to know the secret? Because the story is what makes it universally enjoyable. And this will shock you now but if you write a good story and do not focus on skin color, ethnicity and sexuality, you will have a higher chance of making a good game. I would like for you to ask yourself the following:
- Why was Lee in The Walking Dead game series not universally hated for being a diverse character? Why did people sympathize with him murdering a man (by your logic, because he is black, majority of people must hate him but even though he committed murder, majority enjoyed playing as him)?
- Why did the gay couple in The Walking Dead spark no outrage? Was it because gay sex was not the center of the story but that everyone can sympathize with losing a loved one - even if it's a gay couple?
- How come we have seen all kinds of ethnicity in games since over 20 years and people act like games only had white characters in it? It's the same bullshit with shows (e.g. Stargate has fucking System Lords of any race and they are more powerful that fucking earth. When did Stargate premiere? Ah, in 1997. Odd that diversity was not an issue and that a huge amount of nerds all over the world love Stargate to this day. In episode 4 of fucking season 1, the female protagonist, Sam Carter, has a strong episode where she deals with a Mongolian tribe that sells women like goods and the story is so well written, I doubt anyone would side with the fucking antagonist and hate on Sam Carter for being a woman. They achieved a real good fucking episode (""Emancipation" is the fourth episode of the first season of Stargate SG-1.) without any "you are strong, girl" or "go, you're a girl boss!!!" bullshit and annoying cringe. You should watch it, maybe you learn a bit more about how strong women should be portrayed in media.)

Why was this never an issue? Why was this diverse cast not an issue for fans? Why do many non-English speaking fans choose the original version over the dubbed version?
- How come the GTA series which mainly has diverse characters has one success game after another? I have not seen any outrage from the "evil white Nazis" and "white sexist monsters", they enjoy the shit out of those games. There is a whole scene full with white people RPing this game all day long, playing as cops or career criminals and don't give a fuck that their character is diverse or a minority or some other shit.
- How come suddenly journoscum like you deny that we had decades of diversity in games and it didn't matter to fans because the story was good? Why does journoscum like you act like that? What is your goal?
For so many years we were able to enjoy games, shows and movies with diversity in it. For decades gamers and nerds of any race and ethnicity enjoyed their favorite game together and did not care about sexuality, ethnicity and race. Only now it matters, because journoscum and tranny-controlled media wants us to believe that there has never been any diversity anywhere, that there were never any strong women in any games and movies and shows, that there were never any gay people anywhere.... You should check out Sacred from 2004, Studio Ascaron (rest in peace), you can't tell me there isn't a strong woman in that game. The fucking character selection offers different women (Seraphim, Daemon, Vampiress and Wood Elf).
It all has existed before, the difference is: back then we had good storytellers and great designers. Now we have pedos, gross people who want to put their fetish on display, and other sexual deviants. And none of them are any good at writing, designing, drawing and creating. Happens when all you do is watch porn and surround yourself with other deviants with severe brainrot.
Edit: another good movie with diverse cast from early 2000s is Atlantis The Lost Empire. For some reason I cannot find a single person who hates this movie, only people who have never heard of it (because Disney fucked up the marketing perfectly) or who love it. Why is it loved despite having a diverse cast? Because the plot is fantastic, because the story is great, the music is outstanding, the struggles are relatable and neither skin color nor sexuality nor being a strong woman was the center of it.

This is someone's drawing but it gives you a good overview of the main characters. They're a mix of different kinds of people from all over the world and what makes them so lovable because they all had some tough upbringing or a great story. Audrey for example, that is a way to write a good "strong wahmen" story: her father always wanted sons. One to help in the workshop and the other one to compete in the middleweight boxer championship. When Audrey tells Milo about that, she says "...but he got my sister and me instead." Then Milo asks "So, what about your sister?" and she answers smugly "she's 24 with a shot at the title next month [at the middleweight boxing championship]". Which is a funny plottwist. We can read into it that even though Audrey's father wanted sons, he is happy and proud of his daughters and in the end, it didn't matter to him anymore that he has no sons. And since Audrey's sexuality was never a topic, she can be a lesbian or bisexual or straight. It literally doesn't matter, what matters is that she is relatable. She proved her father wrong, women can also be tough engineers. And it did not cause her father to abandon or hate her, it seems her father loves her no matter what. This is what makes a character relatable. It doesn't make a character relatable when the character talks about being oppressed and being a victim all the time while being overly sexualized and shoving 10 dildos up her ass and vagina. Will journoscum ever admit to that? Nope.
