Yeah, it's ironic how teaching at college is way less strict than teaching children in terms of standards when the stuff you need to know and stuff you need to teach children is so much less compared to college.

kids don't even learn algebra til the 8th grade which means every grade just drills the four functions into kids heads. And most subjects are equally empty. We'd be better off treating teaching with the same "anyone can do it" attitude as retail work or fast food at least in elementary school just so we can get class sizes down. 5 smart white kids to a teacher can breeze through the state test requirements. And in general most of school is forcing the 80% that do understand to slow down so the 20% that doesn't can waste teachers time.

I also am 100% sure every complains about school is mostly from diversity and whites not understanding or caring to about minorities. Niggers in Africa treat school like a rape and fun zone and Mexicans treat it like the unlimited flaming hot Cheetos facility it is. Why do whites not bother seeing it for what it is.

Girls in boy scouts, in theory, isn't actually that bad. In the higher levels, We had girls on trips, and they were cool.

The problem is, nothing exists in a vacuum, and that even if we have crossover between boys and girls, they should not have been a main stay.

My question is this: Where the hell are the angry parents in Alabama and Tennessee?! They should be protesting in front of these schools, being as loud and as "Karen-like" as possible.

Most parents today lack the time or interest, or outright support the status quo of the public school system. Parents that take such interest have become the exception and are no longer the norm, sadly.

Board of Education is almost always dominated by leftists that want as much access to your kids as possible, no matter if it's California or South Dakota.

Even in my bluish part of Kiwi Land, the school district has become pozzed enough to have an overpriced minority woman as the director of DEI who makes sure every public school marquee has pride colors showing every June. Who know what else has been adopted as policy in the name of diversity, etc.

People with kids in the school district need to retake these boards.

As much as voters might love to vote out the board members supporting these policies, very few people run for the open seats and those that do tend to support this and want to continue having it at the least and expand it at the worst.

About a year ago, there was a trend on TikTok where some very young teachers were expressing how disillusioned they already are because they are roadblocked on actually doing their jobs properly.

They talked about how they're required to "pass" kids who are flat-out illiterate and failing everything, how poorly behaved Gen Alpha is in general, and how they just can't get anything done as a teacher and all parents should be concerned/start paying attention.

#NotAll definitely applies here, but it seems that the teachers who hold the most influence and "power" in our country are the ones with the martyr complexes. They are some of the most entitled people on the planet.

I believe someone already mentioned how left-leaning the two primary teachers unions in the US are (AFT and NEA). #NotAll equally applies here because because there are decent union folks, but the teacher's union union building reps and veteran teachers make it clear to the young teachers that they shouldn't work beyond their job description or take too much pride in what they do - roadblocking them as @StarkRavingMad stated.

I'd wager that in a few years you'll see "Defund the Schools" as a political topic.

ICBW, but I might argue that those currently advocating voucher systems or the elimination of Blaine Amendments as unconstitutional might be trying to defund public education in a way.

This is what "guaranteed money" does, whether it be insurance (healthcare), taxes (public education), government-guaranteed loans (higher education), etc. When you bike pump funds into the technicolor furry belly button an organization, it will bloat up until it's gurgling with useless positions and expenses unnecessary to the accomplishment of its mission.

This is why school districts have little incentive to manage coasts or eliminate bloat except when they lose enough students to have to close buildings. Property taxes adjust for inflation, so they get automatic cost of living adjustments so to speak. And when buildings need repairs, it's easy for them to propose a millage and have special interest groups spread the messaage that a no vote is a vote against education. "Think about the kids!" (amirite?)

It's similar for colleges. Any expense not covered by government funding can simply be passed on as tuition or fee increases. During my university years, the school started to tack on an $80-$160 per semester "infrastructure" fee for all the construction and maintenance projects not included in the state's education budget.

And that's why more and more doctors are doing direct care, where they don't take insurance and just take a flat fee per month for a lot of stuff.

Dating back to my health care IT days, providers were curious enough to want reports showing whether direct care was better and worth avoiding the insurance companies' collective red tape. With the ACA doing very little to make health care more affordable since it was passed and insurance companies putting more of a stranglehold on providers, I can see why more providers are interested in this sort of analysis.

Again the question must be asked: WHY AREN'T YOU DOING THAT NOW?

One would think Kamala would want to see to some of these items be passed before the election to not only earn social credit for her party and its candidates, but to show that she is eager to get stuff done and continue down that path if elected to replace her predecessor. It's hard for her to promote her platform or promises when she's part of the party in power and they have no collective sense of urgency to try enacting any of this now wile the opportunity presents itself.
