Darkest Dungeon

fuck you first and foremost, i don't recall having even a tenth of the required brain damage to shill or accept rainbow/tranny behavior, and if you somehow haven't caught up yet the baldur's gate 3 review just confirms the theory that this """"curator"""" is a tranny making gotchas for redditors, could even be that the curator IS the redditor making these posts since they're all in the same month/period.
I never said I agreed with it, merely that they care enough to go out of their way to write about it. The baldur's gate 3 review has 3 layers of irony too.

Shouldn't that extra mode for DD2 be out by now? Kingdoms i think it's called. Haven't played DD2 since DLC release, already got 600+ hours in and got burned out but that mode looked fun from what i've seen in the first trailer.

Anyone got an AI model trained on The Narrator's voice?

The talk about a randomized talent system seems like it could be another layer of fun.

Retarded, i could swear they announced it for July - August.
I watched a bit of the dev streams a long time ago and I think red hook has a lot of work they need to do before reaching their final product. DD2 feels very unfinished because it is.

I remember them saying they wanted to do an overhaul of the 3d map system because it's janky, boring, and filler content.

The game has many, many weaknesses and glaring issues (be it gameplay or engine-wise) but i did enjoy myself with it a lot. Much more than with 1. I seldom buy games and i got more than my money's worth from it. Not sure how the character balancing is now but it was bad when i left, changing up too many mechanics again. Didn't even get to unlock the Crusader because i was way too burnt out on it (only pirated the DLC so no skin of my nose), wanted to make the effort with Kingdoms. I wouldn't be surprised if they postpone it to 2025, they're much less on the ball with 2 as they were with 1, it seems.

Should've never made it into the game as it was and all the fixes have been band-aids on bulletholes at best.

They can't get getting away with this.

Also lol. "Put your sanity to the test".

That got to confirm this is a False Flag Op. Who ever it is barely hiding it.

Also we are not unhinged. The people in this thread are some of the most reasonable people.

What would his power be? Yelling slurs at the black characters to break their sanity? Telling trannies they not real females? DbD already has weird horror shit in it, so just showing more weird horror shit to the survivors aint gonna break anyone.
He will charm them with his amazing voice.

DD1 is pure action and narrator, no exploring or any other gay shit for 20 minutes every run.
The runs taking for fucking ever in DD2 is one of its worst design errors. I played that shit almost exclusively with CheatEngine speedhack at 2x - 2.5x speed and it still was a slog every single time, the base speed of animations is a fucking joke.

Also the DD modding community has more or less been ruined by deranged troons for a couple years now.
The only Troon I knew of is Claire de lune(?), but that loser left a while ago due to BR overshadowing Moonlit Dungeon. There's also that one mod that was mentioned in the thread earlier, that custom hero who's name I can't remember. Although I personally find the character bios people craft for heroes very ignorable, even if it leans into the heroes being more individuals than X-Com style classes.
But generally the steam workshop falls into QoL things like better stack size icons, visual changes, anime mods, custom heroes, new enemy mods, and coomer mods. With there being a degree in overlap between the last 4, but that's less trannies and more due to the significant Chinese playerbase DD has, most coomer and anime mods are made by the chinese, if you take a second read their descriptions

Even worse than that was ditching the DD1 format entirely. As far as roguelites go, DD1 is/was fairly unique and captured a devoted audience. DD2, even with ultimately the same kind of combat, is entirely bog standard in every other way. In a vacuum, I actually like a lot of the changes made to combat but the rest of the game is so mediocre and tedious I checked out after the first Body clear.

It's funny how DD2 beat out DD1's peak playercount but currently sits at between half and a third of DD1's concurrent players and has been practically since its launch.

Surprised to see it has that high of a player count at all, i remember the majority of people hating it even on reddit when Epic threw it in their version of Early Access. It clicked for me much better than 1 and i bought it shortly after i pirated an outdated EA version but i understand why people are much less enamored with it than with 1, especially the people that came from playing 1. Modding scene for 2 was pretty much dead when i stopped playing, it was all just stuff to make the game easier and minor QoL improvements from what i remember, the modding scene of 1 was/is thriving in comparison. Not sure if that changed.

I remember another huge blunder in 2 being the first implementation of the BH, not only wasn't he a permanent party member but many people, me included, didn't even realize how to hire him in the first place. I think they changed that in a patch, though.

Edit: That player curve comparison is damning, lol.

I wanted to play DD1
I loaded it up
I ripped my last baddest motherfucker of a team already
Closed game

Sheeeeit I really don't want to build out another team.

>Week 542

So the current monetization model really is to drip feed DD1 classes for more than twice the price of the Shieldbreaker.
