GSC is a one trick pony. Cossacks never took off and outside of that, the memey nuclear armageddon Warcraft game and Stalker I don't even know what else they did.
They're going to make the worst possible AAA slop marketed solely out of the brand name, and sold in a patriotic blue and yellow ribbon for those with political brain rot. It will suck, it will be STALKER in name only, and just like every other AAA release it will either be forgotten about in a week or it will be so bad that people will be laughing at it for weeks. They're only doing this for an easy payday anyways, not like they can make anything else.
Stalker died when the second game was cancelled. That draft of the story was actually pretty interesting, but with this one? I just don't feel it. There is no way that it's going to be worth 150GB of space, but I don't really care since I will never play it.

The leaked gameplay from the VK group seemed ok for an alpha build, but it was in the middle of nowhere with no human ai to rape your cpu.

Watched the before you buy video on stalker 2 and uh I really hope the options allow for this game to not be so full of bloom. I like the gloomy look of the older titles, even with the sun it wasnt so harshly bright. Maybe itll have to be modded. Very stilted gameplay footage is whats available. And id have to delete things to run this game on low. May pirate and if its good buy it a year later. Will be checking here to see what people think as well.

No just art direction soundscape old beeps and boops for objective updates, surplus military to current military scaling of equipment (also feeding into the art) general bleakness but never feeling too depressing or full of itself thanks to some controlled silliness and pockets of humanity

Interesting. I dig around that the artist indeed claimed as Ukrainian woman and hates Russians so much that she got pissed when found out one of her artwork being shared by AP-PRO: Stalker, the same website that recently has new janky coop mod for Call of Pripyat.
You can see her posts also mixed with recent reports when Russian military did damages on Ukraine.
