New GT video balding update just dropped: "Will Thick Clothing Stop A Bullet?" "Will a comb-over hide my horseshoe?"

Good thing for all the GT sperm donor spawn that the balding gene is inherited from the mother's side lol
And he didn't even try it with the M1 Carbine. 2/10, would not let him breed my wife.

Leftists make their states unlivable hellholes then when it becomes too much, they move to states that are more free and repeat the process.
But they'll make sure to create shooting clubs in the process. Like the "queer shooter" guy I forgot the name, and the Socialist Gun Club.

Fat autistic retard Mike B has a podcast, and this episode is apparently relevant due to Othais showing up at 17 minutes. ETA: Gun-adjacent talk starts 1 hour 4 minutes, Matt of Fuddruckers joins at 1 hour 11 minutes.
Fuddbusters was on Mike B's youtube stream last night and said he knows the guy making the vss from shot show and its all bullshit. Bonus points for @Othais alluding to the thread.

If you don't remember Mike B he's this guy

what a dumbass. a gun rack keeps that from happening very cheaply. some plywood and a 2x4 and some saw work and finish sanding gets you a rack for cheap. you'd think someone with that many guns would have done this already, i have and i don't have a quarter as much as he does. I'm getting legit second hand embarrassment from this.

Some information is extremely basic but here you go...

Mike Vining was one of the first soldiers of US Army Delta Force as a Explosive Ordinance Disposal specialist, he is photographed as part of General Schwarzkopf's security detail during the Gulf War. He also wears large glasses, which contrast the look of many "operator" types, especially since he is a decorated soldier in one of the best military units and retiring as a Sergeant Major, the highest enlisted rank of the US Army.

Quad NODs or GPNVGs, are a night vision observation device that features four tubes. Allowing for a wide field of view and each goggle can be adjusted to a different plane of focus. This contrasts the more common monocular like the PVS-14. Which only has a 40 degree FOV and a single plane of focus around a single eye. Yet with a price of $40,000 for a GPNVG compared to $3,000 for a monocular, only elite forces that are issued those can be afforded to.

Red dots are electronic reflex sights that have an LED emitter inside which projects a mirrored image to the user. They are excellent for low light shooting, close range shooting, and use as an aiming device with night vision goggles.

Low powered variable optics are magnified scopes that would have a variable range of zoom from 1x or almost close to 1x (eg 1.5x), to an intermediate level (most often 4-8x). This offers versatility to the end user and able for the firearm to be used in various distances, from close quarters to the maximum point shoot distance. They are paired with red dot sights mounted on the top, or at a 45 degree angle. For night vision use, snap shooting, or with night vision goggles.

Multicam is a camouflage pattern developed by Crye Precision, a textile company specializing in military clothes and nylon equipment (armor carriers, magazine pouches, etc). Multicam is a transitional camouflage pattern which works decently in all environments, and excellent in areas between forests and deserts. Initally adopted by special forces it morphed into becoming the default camouflage pattern, especially for NATO countries. Multicam black, a variant, is seen often with fantasy groups thinking it's even more tactical than Multicam itself, yet is quite a useless pattern and a subject to the consumeristic side of this genre of firearms.

Sicaro is the Spanish word for hitman. Sicaro is also a famous action movie from the early 2010s about the CIA doing black operations and getting into shootouts with the Mexican cartel. One of the notable characters in the movie is a man in glasses that is a part of Delta Force, with Mike Vining as the inspiration.

Phonk is a newer genre of music, often associated with video footage of modified tuner cars or war footage. This music would have aggressive electronic bass.

IYKYK, or If You Know You Know. Some implied information, where the context could be questionably legal (war crimes, technical information for making improvised weapons, etc).

SOCOM, or United States Special Operations Command. Is a joint organization for United States Special Forces. Not sure what SOCOM glazing is, either a thin layer of carbon fouling. Or it could be some special forces operator splooging into a pair of Crye combat pants.

CAG, or Combat Applications Group. Is the alternative name for Delta Force.

Tactical twinks refer to men of a small skinny statue often seen on flat range footage from Instagram or YouTube. These people can range from literal crossdressers (Destiny) to possible closeted homosexuals (Lucas Botkin). Often times tactical twink will refer to Botkin specifically.

This meme is poking fun at the consumeristic trends found in social media. Instead of stuff of actual substance of the practical application or knowledge of firearms.

Everyone is obsessed with LPVOs after that pooner school shooter got folded by an officer using one.

People were obsessed with LPVOs before that, and if I'm remembering correctly, the cop that shot her didn't even use the LPVO, and aimed at her with a canted red dot.

LPVOs aren't good optics for the typical guy who has an AR for home defense. They're unlikely to shoot anyone beyond 50 yards, so that use case means a good 1x optic is optimal. No LPVO offers a 1x as good as even a $150 red dot, and that's why you see every dude who has an LPVO on his rifle add a piggybacked or canted red dot. A far more sensible optic setup for most people would be a red dot or EOTech paired with a magnifier. For someone who lives on a farm or ranch with a wide area to cover, whose primary problem is coyotes, foxes, hogs, etc., an LPVO makes far more sense in that use case. As far as "go to war" magnified optics go, I think ACOGs are better than LPVOs.

Naw it's cyclic. Gear queers are like women's fast fashion. As new guntubers rise they to through the same cyclic shit of making videos about X Y Z gear the older channels already did, and then made follow-up videos of how they don't like it anymore. It spreads out from there. Then resets again. The truth is Nutnfancy has this all figured out decades ago and nobody listened. TNP NATION.

How many guys slapped 1x-6x and 1x-8x LPVOs on rifles they only ever shoot at their local 25 yard indoor range? The answer of course is "quite a few" thanks to getting FOMO from hypebeast guntubers and IG "influencers." Shit's retarded. Those guys should've considered the PHILOSOPHY OF USE of their rifles. Should've stuck with the red dot/EOTech and magnifier, or ACOG with top mounted dot. Those are the best AR optic setups for the common man (in my completely uneducated opinion).

I vividly remember every hype beast and hanger on shitting on magnifiers hardcore around the early LPVO phase of gear tube. I do believe they are the best combo for average defensive use. Unless you have a bad eye condition and need a etched reticle in which case a LPVO would be better.

A big thing during the LPVO phase was also "gotta ID your target bro. You don't wanna get locked up" this idea that you're going to be shooting at people 200+ yards away and there would still be some sort of legal system? If you're shooting at someone 200+ yards away it's either a full societal collapse or you're going to jail. There is no in between nuance there. That's a whole other topic, how many of these guys think they can get away with shooting someone under the guise of self defense in really sketchy circumstances. This guy is a good example of that

Nah they were trendy before that. That video just made them look validated.

LPVOs are only really good for brush hunting and even then a fixed power scope in the 2.5x-4x range is (imo) just plain better. But I'm also a fudd boomer who thinks the ACOG is the pinnacle of combat optic design and I've never been a huge fan of red dots.

I think it’s competition to high speed guys to Instagram hypebeasts to Tarkov players to normie pipeline with a dash of guys who drop big money (credit card purchase) needlessly defending their waste of money with lpvos (or the guy with a strike eagle who swears up and down it’s just as good).

But what do I know half my gun purchases are influenced by early 00s video games.

Basically. I have personally known firearms journalists and YouTubers who have Gucci ass gear, shoot under NV all the time, but they live with their parents and basically have no bills and don't really understand what it's like to be an adult yet. All their money and time is guns and shooting, and they have some wildly out there mindsets and expectations for what's affordable or workable for someone who does work 40+ hours a week and has a mortgage.
