@The handsome tard

I quite like what you did with Frost there. It's very well-written and I appreciate you gave an opening for Cassie to step in and defeat Shinnok as in the actual game (I assume Johnny is still tied up as who Shinnok saw as the main threat), but having Frost play a part would really hammer how Shinnok's defeat should've been a team effort. I ALSO appreciate the timeline echo of her being encased in ice until she can get better. As an alternate history fan I'll say the NRS timeline, especially MKX, was oddly really good at that kind of echoing and the butterfly effect alike and you captured that straight-up.

The best part of your MKX Frost is that from what I can see, we can STILL have her original 3D-era personality as an evil bitch in that specific time period... only since the 3D-era events didn't actually happen, she can't give into the temptation of nabbing the medallion in MKDA and no Armageddon means literal extra years to better herself so the Hanzo attack is, as you said, a genuine judgement mistake - one still logically following from her asshole youth - than a pure power-play move. It gives a nice tragic element to the Midway Frost that all she needed in the end was more time and attention.

Also, you can have MK11 Frost be the same Frost from MKX and simply brought in from her young hothead days, when she could've made the wrong choices (IE, like in MKDA) and this particular variant did in taking Kronika's offer when your MKX Frost never would've. A reversal of Present and Past Jax, in fact.
@Mayor Cody Travers , I've have sets of autistic writings for MK too! But, personally I'd try to restrain it strongly because I didn't find expressing my own MK autism fun at all (previous MK posts have my drawings on there). It'd be partial between only 3 OK NRS titles, and way more colorful saturation, blending with depth, gore, depressioni, extreme cultural tradition-leaning to certain characters, goofy moments and shit like that. Not many are interested, so I'd try to hold back and hold my opinions on MK more than expressing my rewrites.

For example, my autistic writing about Frost was that she has a much more feminine haircut instead of a dyke-like look. Maybe like a bob cut (different from Tanya's inverted bob cut), with asymmetrical bangs and no sidelocks and brighter pale blue hair, with a bluish indigo gradient tip; and normal blue eyes, and a blue lower lipstick (homage to MKDA's Frost alt):

Nothing has known much about Frost's actual origin, aside from her longlasting idolization of the Lin Kuei. Before its re-establishment by Kuai Liang, Frost at first developed an highly delusional idolization over Bi-Han, so much so, she always believe that if she "work and train harder", she could be his "right-hand woman" with the former Grandmaster. But what she feigns ignorance upon Bi-Han's multiple times of denying enrolling her was that, she is very deluded, inconclusive, immature, never considering think twice before commencing her action, leading unwarranted reports to the former de facto Grandmaster for a "strange, weird blue haired girl sneaking into the Lin Kuei's HQ in Articka to get by and try to get Bi-Han's attention". Bi-Han held a very negative outlook upon Frost, but is somehow impressed by her tenacity to keep going with her delusions, ambitions to become one; in spite of her creepy projections towards the other students within the HQ.

Even if an ego as big as the entire planet that habits Outworld, Bi-Han amusingly enrolled Frost into the Lin Kuei almost immediately after 4 months of tampering in Arctika. At first, the fledglings are bedgrudgingly trying not to convey to the Grandmaster about this creepy woman managed to get Bi-Han's cold heart; but if they do it, he will execute them in cold blood, and look down on them condescendingly, much like his dismay when Kuai Liang pulls up about his past, and his former shell before he becomes this "Bi-Han" that the Lin Kuei blindly obligates to. Bi-Han wouldn't treat them as respectable, honorable apprentices, but no more than toys meant to mess around a castle model; jesters that only seeked for the king's approval, through humiliating and impressing the arrogant king. None would know about Bi-Han's past more than Kuai, who knew everything about his lifelong hidden trauma, and how much of a mellow person was when he wasn't being acerbic, ruthless, egotistical on the surface. Frost is one that has the determination to try as hard as possible to fuel her delusion and get as much information and personal life about the former Grandmaster.

Whilst he outright treats Frost, like the many jesters within the ethereal, but blood-soaked castle; he finds something, strangely valuable within Frost, much like the value of a Hope Diamond. In spite of her compulsive stalking nature, delusions and the many times she outright refused to listen to others but him; they have a weirdly close relationship for what starts as a very dishonorable and tumultulous start during her first time infiltrate into Arctika, just to simply spar with Bi-Han, and obsessively tries to gain his trust to become his "right-hand woman". Bi-Han sees it no more than a "simple acquaintanceship", much to Frost's chagrin and sulking over him to change his opinions over it, ignoring her entire old lifestyle, just to fulfill her own deluded fantasies. The more she spent time within the Lin Kuei, the worsen her attitude and ego grows. Within that, she becomes increasingly hostile towards everyone, including Kuai Liang, whom she saw as the "inferior fodder" to Bi-Han; and will defend Bi-Han's thoughts and honor like there's no actual ending to it.

Until the death of Bi-Han, Frost becomes even more depressed, paranoid and schizophrenic, ofter projecting and jabbering about other Lin Kuei would outright kill her and that they'll take everything valuable from her, even the spare throne to become the Lin Kuei's new grandmaster. She didn't leave Arctika, let alone her former life and her self-depravity that she "claims" to think everytime. Her narcissism makes her even more socially withdrawn and more compulsively volatile, swore to kill one that dare to defunct the Lin Kuei, including her withering hatred and xenophobia towards the Shirai Ryu, all are consisted of ninja, kunoichi, and the head, Hanzo Hasashi. Even if her depression have actually lasted for a month, and comtemplating on commiting suicide, just to "be with her Grandmaster"; but has since revoked to a much more schizophrenic obsession towards Kuai Liang, whom she perceived at first as a "Lin Kuei cockroach" and completely different from her idol, until he decided to take on Bi-Han's mantle, and grew to be more strikingly similar to Bi-Han. So much so, she would beat herself up on "why am I idolizing on the wrong scum?" and "he looks similar to my late grandmaster, and yet, why am I bending the knee to seek his approval the way I do to Bi-Han?" and "for he's not true Lin Kuei heir, I am the true Grandmaster, because I'm close to Bi-Han more than Kuai Liang." and "I must kill him, if I want to make Bi-Han proud of how much I've improvised myself on.", both are merely out of obsession, jealousy, inadequacy, and the deep need for approval and praising. She is both confused, bitter, obsessed, vengeful, envious over the more responsible sibling of the Liang family's only two family members, because of her time spent with the former Grandmaster. Instead, she refers Kuai Liang as "Sub-Zero", instead of his true name, unlike with Bi-Han.

Powerful, headstrong, yet arrogant, delusional and no sense of humility, honor, maturity, and a fragile ego; she was feared, yet was backstabbed behind by others. And when she was criticized, she becomes angry, and will outright fight them with no hesitation, simply to fuel her delusions to make "Bi-Han proud" even more than before. Even if she becomes the owner of Blaze's power, all she wants was an "ideal utopia where she can be with Bi-Han" and destroys anyone that'll get in the way to end the Lin Kuei.

My criticism for MK was that, it used to have depth when Tobias was supervising the story, instead of NR's incompetence and skimming as much plotholes and multiverse bullshit in it. Very many 3D-era characters all lack a sense of richness and depth that the very first 3 games that Boon and Tobias cooperate and created together with, excluding Quan Chi's value since MK4. Even Frost suffers from the same tackle as well. So usually, when I wanted to write a character, there needs to be their past life and how they become that Kombatant today. Some, for example, like my rewrite of Fujin: (suffers from intense trauma, PTSD, lifelong depression, regret, self-inflicting pain as an immortal under Shinnok's arms, and becoming increasingly happier once he revoked his subservience towards him as his "ideal weapon" to end Raiden's life and strip his immortality and give his older brother his entire power for Shinnok's narcissistic gains and mind game to inflict massive death and destruction on all realms, reshape them again and repeat the same thing out of amusement.), and whatever I think of.

Shi: Come, and join the cause again, puny boy. (Shinnok demoralized Fujin for eons, thus he doesn't need to care if he should actually refer Fujin as his "adoptive son". In Elder God tradition, there's usually no father/mother/daughter and son. But to adapt this, they take this tradition from every realms and refer their creators as parental figures, and creations as offsprings.)
Fujin: Never, and never will again. "Father". (My idea was that Fujin was forced by Shinnok to refer him as his "father figure", in spite of how much vendetta and grudge Fujin held to Shinnok.)
Shi: Ah-ah. Much like your ugly brother. You'll learn this time. (Deplorable wrath, envy and hatred for Raiden looking far better and more handsome than he is, in spite of him being an "old man". Cursed to be a botched creation of the Elder Gods, Shinnok gets all way through their nepotism, and ultimately becoming powerful enough to made them oblige to his mind games and not to take actions from the brothers or other mortals, through his charisma and faux enthusiasm.)

Rai: Fujin. Be not let your hatred fuel your soul again.
Fu: I don't really know if I can, brother.
Rai: I will be there. One spar only. We can confide later.

Tan: Do you have what it takes, "Kahnum"?
Mil: Until your flesh are ripped off, fed to war dogs.
Tan: So much to say from your "big mouth", mongrel. (in this case, I tried to de-sync the dyke shit from Tanya and Mileena, and made it the opposite. Because Mileena was created by Shang Tsung, and once Tanya realized the Edenian flesh, she knew from an instant that Mileena is subservient to Shao Kahn, and intently tries to take Edenia's domain and make it all Outworld. Like the many Edenians within the land, Tanya hold a deep grudge upon the Tarkatans that are dishonorable, and mongrels [Shang Tsung's experiments] that were forcefully used in extreme molecular cloning to create mass clones of half-Edenian/Earthrealmer/Outworlder and half-Tarkatan mutants to conquer Edenia for Shao Kahn. Otherwise, Edenians doesn't actively discriminate every races, like Outworlders does; but in Mileena's case, it is a vile example of molecular cloning in the Flesh Pits, thus they can feel the pain seeping through the flesh, and so their torment needs to be ended.)

Shao: Your tenacity amuses me, Raiden.
Rai: And your wit, cunningness, tactics revulses me.
Shao: And it will lead to my next forecoming victory. (instead of a brute musclebrain, Shao Kahn is an intimidating, smart, strong, callous and brutal warlord. Ruled the most populous capital of Outworld, and negotiates business through charisma. Outworld has 2 capitals and 2 Kahns; and their natives are actively racist towards each other.)

Edit: This is officially the "Snoot Game-ing of Mortal Kombat"

You say he's head of an pro-Earthrealm organization vis-a-vis the Special Forces. That can be the NRS's version of the Outerworld Investigation Agency, and a good application of the NRS timeline's butterfly effect since Jax dying meant that he couldn't help head up the creation of the OIA like in the Midway timeline, where it was regulated to easter egg dialogue (I forget if it's MKX or MK11 Sonya telling another she's in the OIA itself). Heck, Dark Raiden can even play Stryker's OIA and Sonya/revived Jax's SF off of one another or force them to work together alike could've highlighted how they were all hanging separately until forced to hang together, especially if you can have Stryker's humanity begin to come back when he's horrified at Present Sonya's death at the start of MK11.

I think the key is setting up how different the OIA and SF are in MKX (but still ultimately working together against the Shinnok stuff) and have that be put to the test in MK11 through Dark Raiden. OIA would initially work together with Raiden, seeing no issue with his extremist methods but the SF would know he is going too far and that not everyone in the other realms are evil. However, when Sonya dies, Stryker would begin to question what they are doing because, in his eyes, they are hurting their own people and for what? This isnt protecting.

"Sonya was a friend, we had our differences but we still respected each other. The Cages invited me to their christmas dinners despite everything! This isnt protecting, Raiden! This isnt what the OIA is about and this isnt what YOU're about."

"Kurtis Stryker, are you daring to turn against Earthrealm? Become a traitor to your kind?!"

"No, I'll fight for Earthrealm to the day I die and right now, Im staring at it's biggest threat."

They would fight in the OIA headquarters and, despite putting a good fight, Stryker would lose but he would let Raiden know that, from where he is standing, he is no better than Shinnok now.

"Go ahead, Raiden, prove to me that all of you gods are no better than Shinnok"

Raiden stares at him in fury and fries him with eletricity, with Stryker getting a dry chuckle before death. Raiden slowly realizes that Stryker had the whole fight broadcasted and everything he said and did were shown to the OIA and now they would never serve his cause. Members of the OIA would all invade the area and aim their guns at Raiden. The Thunder God furiously teleports away in a tornado of red lightening. The members notice Stryker's body is missing. The screen goes black and Raiden says

"There may still yet be a use for you, Kurtis Stryker"

Next time we see him, its slowly revealed he is a zombie now, akin to Zombie Liu Kang in Midway's Timeline, serving Dark Raiden in death. One could say this is no different than him being a revenant but the key is context and millage out of the character. By the time he dies and gets reanimated, we would have had Stryker appearing and being a character in 3 games and this would help sell the dire situation and how awful Dark Raiden has become.

Oh yeah, there was supposed to be something about a Kronika here somewhere, uhhh...insert time wimey limey thats not removely as interesting here.

I'm torn on Kabal himself. I agree it was an artificial villain turn. But Midway Kabal died to Mavado, then revived into evil and chaos by Havik, so him becoming evil again as a revenant in the NRS timeline despite his attempted face-turn is a good example of a "canon event/timeline echo" I spoke of earlier: it's the same idea as the "third cyborg" (Smoke or Sub-Zero) eventually becomes freed from the artificial body (Smoke becoming an cyberized enera in his MKD ending till rescued by Sub in MKA and Quan Chi reviving Sub's human body in MKX comics) and a good guy again, or that there's an NRS timeline "MK4" in the first chapter of MKX despite details being very different from the Midway one (Shinnok invaded free Edenia in actual MK4 but invades both Earth and Outworld-holding-Edenia in NRS "MK4"). Kabal continuously turning back to evil in myriad ways gives a rather realistic and tragic element to the MK series than all good guys staying good or everyone evil working for a singular villain of the game. So Kabal being revived could always be a goal out of Stryker's grasp and part of what stresses him even if he's a solid good guy otherwise.

Yeah, it could go either way for Kabal with me. He could still turns evil but it just needed to be more "natural" than something forced or off screen. It could be bittersweet if he was restored but something went wrong and some traces of evil remained or the dying experience was too traumatic and made him fall into his old ways. Or maybe he was restored by Mavado and convinced to be his second in command. There is a way to keep him evil, just a tragic natural turn for the character. You could also make him more neutral, as in, a vigilante wild card that serves no one, only himself (possibly replace Eron Black with him).

The sky was the limit and I doubt fans would mind if they went with new route for characters that werent handled the best in the Midway timeline.

But no, lets make Sindel Shao Kahn's simp girl (and probably retconned evil because having her love her abuser would have probably been...uncomfortable to write). This WASNT the type of creative we wanted, NHR, damn it.

I'm kind of grateful he isn't there, but why no Nightwolf?

Given everything NRS has done to screw things up, I'm glad they won't ever make a Shaolin Monks 2.

You mentioned NW, now I'm torn.

For Nightwolf, I'd imagine that he's now the heir of his bloodline, and the current chieftain of the Matoka tribe. Unlike the many primitive Matokans, Nightwolf (real name: Grey Cloud), was chosen to hold the mantle from his Father to become the next chieftain and was very technologically adapt. As the Matokan worships the reincarnation of the two former oni gods, Raijin and Fuujin (Raiden and Fujin); the chieftain is amongst hold the longest-lasting service and negotiation with the two kami. Nightwolf was given the priority to oversee the future without the amulet, holding souls of the undead, silencing the wailing of feral beasts of all kind, under his supreme knowledge of Matokan clairvoyance, which is hidden confidentially as to prevent normal, powerless humans trying not to tamper them and abuse them to achieve their personal gains out of greed for power.

Both Raiden and Fujin would refer him as Yoru-no-Ookami (wolf of the night), Yuudachi (evening squall), as a sense of trust and respect for been negotiating with them since 1995. He has three animal kins, Kiva, Hana, Komo. Per se, he still retains his powers from every MK titles combined. Because as his duty as an highly experienced shaman, he is also well-prepared and is knowledgeable about hosting the soul of the dead in a spirit globule and preserve them in a crystal penchant, and reconcile the empty husks, dead with their preserved soul. Unfortunately, for the penchant can only host 1 soul, usage for it is limited, and he isn't capable of preserve more than 100 souls, left alone the Soulnado, which is consisted of the damned souls. He can also manifest prana to project into many weaponries, manipulating the elements of nature, purifying malignant spirits, using shaman magic and spirit enhancement. Alone because of Nightwolf's intense training, he is fully capable of retaining his psyche in a normal condition and endure darkening longer than an unarmed Earthrealmer does, per being the heir of his bloodline, and the Great Spirit's chosen mantle bearer.

I won't forget about Chow Kang. I'd probably put him as being resurrected by Raiden and Fujin into a jiangshi. Even for supposedly a full jiangshi, Chow Kang is the genderswap of Hsien-Ko: Respectable, honorable and opposing evil. Because Raiden and Fujin knew about the arts of Shinto/Elder God ritualism, because their mastery and knowledge stems from being the creations from their previous Elder God form (pre-split and relinquishing his role as an Elder God), Susanoo. Due to their experience being head male shrine maidens that knows the concept of healing, exorcise, purify, and resurrecting the dead. While their prana suppy is unlimited, resurrecting one from the dead into a living human (excluding zombies and jiangshi) is impossible for them, unless if the case was them turned into Quan Chi's soldier within the black pool where the dead would duplicate into their "Malignant Puppet (Revenant)", which twisted the dead's personality, and darkens their aura and prana supply. Unlike Fujin, who was promoted to being a godly kannushi by Raiden, Raiden, per se, decided to keep his role as a geki. Under the ritualism, there is no need for utilizing the Kagura dance amongst male shamans and Shaolin who practitioned Elder God ritualism; they managed to fully resurrect Chow Kang, and managed to contain his soul quickly, to assure he won't let his bloodthirst drove him into utter insanity, they sealed his soul with a spiritual hemoenzyne inhibitor to nullify the effect, and taught the resurrected jiangshi self-control; and part Shinto ritualism, full-on Taoist ritualism by the Shaolin, and martial arts by Liu Kang. Chow Kang would always be seen wearing more clothes than Liu Kang does, and has a red/blue and black-themed qingdai guanmao with a talisman on the center, much like traditonal jiangshi does.

They called him "Chinese zombie doppelganger of Liu Kang", which he doesn't actually mind. His favorite hobbies was creating more talismans, ofuda, meditation, calligraphy, leisuring across the Wu Shi and spending time with his younger brother, Liu Kang, whom he's really close with, and puts snarky remarks behind Kung Lao if he said a bad opinion. Also, he can stand Stryker's unpalatable sense of humor, which he finds it "funny" and may joke along with him; also a tard wrangler of his, in case if Stryker doesn't take an ounce of his job seriously.

And for Stryker, I'd be imagine he's the elite bad boy SWAT of the NYPD that doesn't need magic, elements, ritualism; only unlimited supply of firearms and go ham on Dakka mode; negotiated many times with the SF and OIA; in spite of his serious, successful and concisely planned attacks; people at first assume that he'd be the ideal cop that could beat the shit out of you with his tactics and outsmarting others; but once his actual personality is shown when he's not dead serious, it's like taking care of a football hooligan on steroids, in a cop skin (human with Ork-like personality from 40k).

I'd kind of like to see them take Nightwolf down a darker route. He remembers all the shit he went through, all the betrayals, his time as a revenant, and due to his power as a sin eater or the matokan gods or whatever he remains despite not being part of Lui Kang's new timeline. I think there's some interesting story there, though I don't believe current NRS could ever pull that off and I don't want them fucking up more characters.

That'd be an interesting idea! I'd imagining Nightwolf would still retain his own sanity, but the more PTSD he kept reflecting upon himself, the more he starts to deprecate himself as his purpose to serve and protect. Even with how much close Kombatants tried to encourage his spiraling into depression, Nightwolf would actively talk and vent and questioning about his own identity, and how he couldn't even save and protect the Matokan, men, women, children, and even his very own family; and would actively indulge into abusing his own clairvoyance to see what has been inevitable in the first place, and becomes increasingly paranoid and suicidal; and if it gets worse, he'll fell into a deep depression and would start talking to voices in his own mind, and comtemplating about suicide to end his torment. Matokas all underwent brutal training to overcome bad omens, such as PTSD, betrayals, the negative effects of malignant spirits devouring their mentality, carnal desires.

In spite of him never being reincarnated to the new Timeline, Nightwolf is rest assured that he is free from the grasp of being shaped into the wrong clay, which is the prototype puppet of a woman with the intention to replicate the original male Nightwolf's personality. In which, the true Liu Kang is living in the true timeline, which has Blaze's power converted into an ethereal hourglass, by its new de-facto owners and overseers, Raiden and Fujin. The other timeline, which is by the faux Liu Kang (MK1 - Fire God); whom was split into two personalities by the time he was rekindled with his soul in the Armageddon; swore to sculpture the best timeline that he wished to achieve by his former mentors, which the faux Liu Kang has vague memories on. Many of them are all blurry because the Fire God has a small fraction of the true Liu Kang's memory; neither can't vividly remember what his fellow Kombatants look like, nor never could remember their names. Faux Liu Kang's flaws was bleeding strongly, he fell into a loop of deluded thoughts and actively harming himself and split open the barriers of other timelines and causing the Multiverse problem within the "New Era", which leads to the events of Khaos Reigns as well; all were faux timelines and were out of Faux Liu Kang's paranoia and amnesia; apart from the true timeline that the brothers co-host, which is miles portals far apart to actually split the gate open to his timeline.

I'd like to see your ideas about how the Matokan tribes mourn their dead kins or chieftains that were destined by the Great Spirit. My take was retarded, but this is how I'd write out the MK1 timeline; similar to the convolutedness of the Nasuverse from Type-Moon. The 3D Era is the true timeline, whilst the NRS Era, is the faux timeline.

And the real timeline's true ending lays on Raiden and Fujin's combined endings (After both Fujin and Raiden reached the pyramid, they together, defeated Blaze, and used the small portion of his power to cleanse Dark Raiden's Onaga essence, purifying him back, and Blaze, with a dry smirk, declared them de-facto victors of the ARMAGEDDON, died after Raiden's purification process has finished, and they start to absorb Blaze's power and start using them in a proper way, obliging to full responsibility, maturity, understanding, wisdom and how they'll punish evil once the process is done. And they were officialy named the true supervisors of the timeline, and preserve the rest of surplux of Blaze's power for the good causes. Dumb take.), whilst the NRS era lays on the split Liu Kang's hands.

I'm kind of grateful he isn't there, but why no Nightwolf?

Given everything NRS has done to screw things up, I'm glad they won't ever make a Shaolin Monks 2.

In retrospect, it is surprising Nightwolf wasnt even a Kameo, a shame.

At this point I wonder if they can ever make a game genre that isnt fighting by this point.

Since Nightwolf is now the topic, I might as well share my "improvement" so here you go

I'd still keep Nightwolf sacrificing himself to stop Sindel but I dont think it would have killed her. Nightwolf dies through a holy ritual meant to destroy vile entities and it works in destroying the evil energies that were controlling Sindel. She is alive but barely.
And we wouldnt see Nightwolf as a revenant, tho that wouldnt be an oversight like some of them just being missing in MKX or/and 11 as it is revealed in MKX that Nightwolf's noble sacrificed earned him a spiritual protection native to his people. Basically, Nightwolf becomes the MK's equivalent of a force ghost as by the time we follow MKX, the Nightwolf mantle is being held by a young native woman who was trained and taught by the spirit of the previous Nightwolf. I sort of pictured her as being someone who was kind of forced into this role by destiny as she hardly had any ties to her people and didnt have much interest but Nightwolf would guide her into accepting this legacy and using it to protect Earthrealm from future threats (tho I suppose in terms of fighting skills, she might be one of the lowest among the newcomers, relaying a lot on the powers of the mantle). He possibly only is visible to her and there are times he cant even manifest himself in places too corrupted with evil (much less appear in other realms).

Nightwolf has always been a pretty spiritual character so it would make sense to have him guide the next holder of the mantle himself as a spirit, especially given how noble his death was. And we get some variety instead of just another "different but still the same" Nightwolf in MK11.

As for Sindel being alive, I could see her being another traumatized character from what happened in MK3, not only she was forced back into being alive but she was mind raped into becoming Shao Kahn's ultimate weapon and murdering her own daughter. That shit would destroy anyone, much more a mother knowing she murdered her own daughter while under mind control. The Sindel we see in MKX is a very hurt woman and very vengeful mother, determined to make anyone allied to Shao Kahn pay, Quan-Chi included and free her daughter if possible (sort of echoing her Deception ending)

And hey, so much for us being sexist bastards when we seem to be writing females better than NHR.

Kuai's skin will be available in the next Battle Royale. Not a Fortnite zoomer, so I'm uninterested.

Outside of Sub-Zero, I literally recognize no one in this. Way to make me feel old.

Its fine to want Kitana and Millena but we know that these people tend to act very...obssessed with Millena so I doubt they will just settle on asking

All the creative writing going on makes me wonder. What are this thread's thoughts on The4thSnake?

Only opinion on him on the farms is from 2018.
I'm starting to think The4thSnake needs a thread. He's one of those autists who not only follows Mortal Kombat for the lore, but spergs constantly about how Netherrealm are betraying him and gets hung up on the most benign and stupid details (think CinemaSins, but presenting nitpicking as legitimate criticism). He also treats his audience like dogshit and constantly calls them retarded in his videos for daring to disagree with his sanctimonious fart-huffing. The few legitimate grievances that he brings up are often times covered by others before him, so even his actual intelligent opinions aren't exactly unique to him.

He also writes a ton of mediocre at best fan-fiction.

That would've been gold 15 years ago. But now with the DEIkombat, no fucking thanks.
God fucking forbid that they’ll give tranny faces on the MK chicks in SM2 with sidegrade/downgrade graphics compared to DEIKombat 1.
All the creative writing going on makes me wonder. What are this thread's thoughts on The4thSnake?
Nothing much aside from being very autistic. He’s like the veteran, not a Br*t*sh and more autistic version of 6ARAKIN, except instead of raging over other players countering his Kenshi and being Walmart LowTierGod; he’s Chris, but is obsessed with old Mortal Kombat instead of Sonic, and writes fanfics instead of drawing. Otherwise, I can see he may have a bit of potential for a Grift Wars or Internet Famous or the classic Lolcow category. I’d see him as the first actual Mortal Kombat-oriented Lolcow that grifts a lot.

For some reason, I opened up MSPaint, and for no sudden thoughts, I’ve made an Ed Boon wojak crying.

Okay, bros, here are two things I looked back on.

1-
What was exactly the deal with the Lin Kuel in MK 1-3? What I mean is in terms of alliances and I know that none of this was planned from the get go so saying that they were writing this as they went is redundant. So from what I can recall from the info we get in the games, including mythologies and both timelines, it seemed that the Lin Kuel was making an alliance with Quan-Chi (maybe not to the neatherrealm itself tho) so that he can kill the Shirai Ryu and the "price" was the elemental map scroll they had (which Bi-Han adquired and canonically fatality-ed Hanzo but would leave the Lin Kuel be outside of anyone that stood in his way). Quan-Chi would hold up his end of the bargain and eliminate the Shirai Ryu while making it seem it was the Lin Kuel's direct doing.

Problem is that Lin Kuel werent fans of Quan-Chi keeping a Shirai Ryu as his personal spoopy ghost ninja enforcer in the form of Scorpion as that technically counted as some trace of the clan still existing. I can only assume that they cut off ties with Quan-Chi afterwards (that and Im sure that Bi-Han would explain all that "trying to free Shinnok and the Neatherrealm being a place for eeeevviilll beans and oh yeah, Raiden was in there somewhere" business, which would seem like betrayal). Which then leads to them getting invited to Mortal Kombat by one called Shang Tsung but considering that the Lin Kuel are fighting FOR Outworld, I can only assume that was an alliance sort of thing? Nvm the two facts, that the lin Kuel was starting to consider the cyber iniciate (which goes against their principles) AND that the MK arcade endings showed that Bi-Han was secretly there to kill Shang Tsung to get a fat bounty (which would lead to his retirement, probably intending on turning a new leaf as Im sure knowing his soul is damned to Hell would be a good motivation to do so, especially with Raiden implying it wasnt too late).

*rubs eyes* okay, so, uhh, I think the best way I "rationalize" this was that the grandmaster intended for the Lin Kuel to serve Outworld but he told Bi-Han that he was there to kill Shang Tsung as a possible narrative for him to accept to participate in such tournament (so in other words, the grandmaster is a corrupt prick that duped Bi-Han over and over) as I dont think Bi-Han would be in a hurry to serve the whims of Outworld and Im very sure he would be against the cyber iniciate too. Or perhaps the grandmaster was sort of playing both sides. What I mean is that if Bi-Han failed to kill Shang, the Lin Kuel would join Outworld, but if Bi-Han pulled it off, they would stay loyal to Earthrealm (tho still go with the initiate I think).

Be as it may, what we ended getting was Bi-Han being dead and Lin Kuel joining what they thought was the winning side, right down to turning their ninjas into cyborgs under the intention to remove their free will entirely. Its very implied their grandmaster was corrupt and self serving but it is bizarre that he was allied to Outworld and the Neatherrealm, it really removes any ambiguity that the Lin Kuel werent bastards (well that and the forced upon cybertization) as Kuai Liang didnt serve them in MK4 (assuming they even existed anymore after the events of MK3). Either way, by then, the Lin Kuel was dead or dying, only for Liang to swoop in and restart a new version of the clan, intending on making them an actual honorable force to protect Earthrealm.

TL;DR: The original Lin Kuel were kind of inconsistent with their alliances and intentions being kind of all over the place. They were a bunch of self serving corrupt pricks by the time we see them in Mythologies onwards tho, kind of making Scorpion's hatred of them feel oddly justified and it does make you feel a bit sorry for the Sub-Zero brothers serving such uncaring vile leadership.

I think that they should have done something ballsy in the new timeline and made the sister switch places. What I mean is that Millena should have been a good clone of a sadistic power hungry princess. Hell, if you dont want change things too much, switch their names around and keep them using their familiar weapons (so the clone uses bladed fans while the princess uses sais). You could give a different reason for the sharp teeth mouth, maybe an intentional design so the clones know how horrific and beast like they are or maybe the mouth was an injury. Either way, the clone hides it because she hates how she looks like, a constant reminder of what she is and how no one could love such a hideous face.

It would be unique to see the dynamics, exploring a good aligned clone that seeks to right the wrongs from "sister" while the princess is this arrogant power hungry monster who isnt afraid to be dominante others just out of the desire to let them know how worthless and pathetic they are compared to her. All because I really feel like Kitana and Millena's rivalty was one of the various things that helped make the MK lore engaging and now having the sisters be actual sisters without hostility feels like another of the many "wholesome reddit" vibes MK1 has by making many villains now neutral or even good guys. There needed some balance and you might as well get creative with the always useful switcharoo of roles. It is a better idea than making Kuai Liang Scorpion.

All the creative writing going on makes me wonder. What are this thread's thoughts on The4thSnake?

Only opinion on him on the farms is from 2018.

I guess if he is to be considered a lolcow, maybe a pretty low tier one since he does seem to mostly stay on his lane and take himself too seriously "harmlessly"

Yeah, he is annoying but honestly, I guess I just have been desensibilized to lolcow absurdities, they really need to do something big and constant to get in my personal modern qualifications.

Sans means without, or lacking; which may implicate that Kano will hunt down the rest of the Black Dragon traitors, remaining of the SF, OIA, and possibly, everyone that poses as massive threat to the Klan. Implied to be the entire kast of MK 1992.

What's funny was that Raiden back then was a big fucking asshole, before Midway thinks that's not a good idea at all and retcon him into the Raiden that we know today.

The Lin Kuei never worked with Outworld in the original timeline. It's never stated in any of the character bios, which are the only source of lore in the original trilogy. Hell, in Sektor's ending, it states that he views Outworld as a threat to the Lin Kuei, and he's the person most loyal to the clan.

They really were just out for themselves and were caught in between the war between Earthrealm and Outworld. The Saturday morning cartoon was the first piece of media that explicitly showed them working for Shao Kahn.

I see. So that was a NHR retcon, I should've known, your mind can get confused being split between so many informations from two continuities.

That shit looks lame as fuck...
Also, why not OG Bo, why NRS had to put this benderbender there again...
