Tesla has a market cap of around $911 billion, with Musk owning one-fifth of that. Making a very rudimentary analysis: with a revenue of $80 billion and a net income of $2 billion, and assuming a P/E ratio of 15-25 (which is typical for a stable, profitable company), Tesla’s actual market cap should realistically be around $30-$50 billion. Obviously, future prospects could inflate that, but as others and I have mentioned in this thread, the electric vehicle industry is fundamentally unprofitable, it's a still born industry, surviving only through government subsidies and not being a viable path to green transportation, like starting a book shop in Compton.

If Tesla’s market cap were around $40 billion, its stock price would be approximately $12.58 per share. I truly believe Tesla is a cryptocurrency pretending to be a stock, unprofitable, with its price driven solely by the greater fool theory, while people continue to hype up the "imminent mass adoption" of EVs and the "death" of gasoline powered cars.

Like crypto, everything goes up, until it doesn’t. One day, we will witness the biggest evaporation of wealth in human history right before our eyes. The sack of Rome or the Spanish conquest of the New World won’t even compare. When Tesla truly collapses—not just the dips we've seen in recent days, the recession it triggers, or vice versa, the recession that triggers Tesla's downfall, will be monumental.

I doubt Tesla downfall will bring the market down, however, Elon borrowed money to buy Twitter using Tesla stock as collateral. That's the main issue if the price goes down even more.

TBH I think it might be a mistake over focusing on Tesla (I have been doing this myself). We should focus on Musks overall wealth as he has many other companies some heavily backed by the government. Tesla is a good chip to fall but his downfall will require the government turning on him.

Majority of his wealth was created by government subsidies. It looks like government decided to support lots of "private" ventures. I encourage you again to read about Micheal D. Griffin that propped up SpaceX in early 2000s. I think he made Elon SpaceX figurehead.

Come on guys just give Big Pharma another shot

Just another example of a moron talking about something he has no idea about. He also doesn't get that at this point the number of people who treat him seriously is falling down rapidly, like Tesla stock.
But yet he is pontificating about something as if he believed that people still see him as a genius and great visionary.

I would have some sympathy for what you are saying a year ago, but unfortunately for everyone Elon has decided to thrust himself upon everybody by becoming a prominent, partisan, political figure. To say I just want to talk about him and not the politics, is to effectively fence off an increasingly important part of his character.
Yep. It’s like saying “We should talk about Chris Chan but NOT Sonichu.”

Yep. In fact, Covid-19 is just sars + clotting. Although very few people get the clots. One of the dangers of the vaccine is that it effectively produced the virus' proteins in your body. Which meant if you were one of the people who would get clots from the virus you just committed suicide. The real issue is that the "DO YOU OWN RESEARCH GUYS!" Karens and the "TRUST THE SCIENCE PALS!" commies seem to forget, statistics exist. 80% of the US population objectively got vaxxed in the us and 70-90 worldwide. Most people are fine and will continue to be fine. People don't want boosters for the same reason people don't get flu vaccines every year. Most people still have mild sickness from them. A flu shot will give me a weak flu. A covid shot will give me a weak covid. Sure, I can handle that. But like, I'd still be sick for a day, and I got fucking work to do. This economy sucks but my bills aint going down, nor are my grocery bills. And I don't do enough to get sick from it naturally. So why get it again? That just seems retarded,.

The real issue is that both sides are clearly retards who don't have better things to complain about. I envy them. But I got a dinner to cook. That dinner is going to taste really good.

Why does he keep talking about dividend checks? I thought the point was to curtail the deficit. You don't save money if you cut it from something and then immediately spend it somewhere else.

Giving every citizen money is an effective tactic: you generate a list of all people who like money and think they're citizens. Good for filtering non-citizens.

Money can be cut from one place and spent elsewhere when the people in charge don't care about the former and lie about the results.

"See, we're firing people, cutting programs, and destroying everything you benefit from to save you money. We also have to raise the debt ceiling and cut taxes for the ultra-rich. Why? Because that will help. Trust and believe. Take this handout and stop crying." - The ultra-rich and powerful who don't suffer from these actions.

Ironically, Elon Musk can be the retarded wannabe dictator he's always had dreams of being, while the people he negatively impacts heil him as a hero.

Only slightly related but I'm surprised nobody's talking about how Trump continually re-announcing the tariffs on Canada and Mexico and then walking them back is obviously just so that his buddies can do a little insider trolling and short the market
