Who are you rooting for in Super Bowl 59?

We need to resurrect Al Davis, the crusty hyper-progressive Jew that he was, really knew how to be entertaining. Fucking drafting guys purely based on their 40 times, or firing Lane Kiffin by wheeling out an overhead projector was pure kino. Mark Davis isn't nearly as entertaining other than his cool haircut.

Fun fact: The Raiders traded up to #23 in front of the Packers in the 2005 NFL draft. I was convinced the Raiders were gonna take Aaron Rodgers because they needed a QB and Green Bay was the next possible destination for Aaron Rodgers. Nope. Fabian Washington. CB. Nebraska. His 40 time was 4.29. He was awful.
We need to protect and nurture this woman in Tennessee. Not only is Al Davis gone and Jerry Jones on the way out, but we lost the Detroit owners. They have become competent. We will be stuck with Mark Davis being smarter than his father (not much of an accomplishment but he won't be pure kino), the Jets, the Bears, and the Jags. That's not enough fun, especially with the Bears trying to make good decisions

Kinda like when the Vikings traded Randy Moss for pick #7, which was a WR. Fast lil' dude, but that was about it. I get why teams value draft picks (younger and rookie contract), but it gets absurd at times. Trading a guy (like AJ Brown) who is already good, and on the precipice of taking the next step, for the potential of drafting a good player (at the same position) is just plain retarded.
"Players, not plays. Picks not players. If you're not getting younger, you're getting older." Age-old wisdom from Vic Ketchman.

Don't forget the Dolphins. They go under the radar because journoscum fellate McDaniel and try to pretend Reek isn't a washed up domestic abuser, but they've been irrelevant for 25 years and and an absolute shitshow for the past couple. Thanks again for running Vic out of town.

Need to demand Green Bay be run via shareholder votes.
Please don't. These people are fat, drunk, and retarded. And half of them are women so they will be drafting shitty players with heartwarming back stories

The Dolphins get away from their lolcow owner status due to the fact that he lives in New York and they win enough games to get into the playoffs. If the owner was more involved and/or they were winning 4 games a season then it would be funnier

Rofl. Apparently the team was split into thirds and one of those thirds split into another third after Bud Adams died. Something like 70% of the franchise was owned by 3 different women whose only affiliation to football was Bud Adams. They eventually shifted it around so she's the controlling owner, but talk about a recipe for disaster. He's probably flipping the bird down there in black heaven.

Also, how could you forget the Browns??? Easily the top of the list. Jets may be number 2, assuming all the stuff about his son treating the roster like it was Madden was true.

Jags are interesting. Like, they're owner kinda has the opposite problem that others do in that he let's shit continue for too long. It's not like he doesn't invest into the team, but questions arise when you're pounding your hands over keeping Trent Baalke. To only fire Trent Baalke a month later.

I'm trying to think of an area where the Dolphins have excelled since Marino left. Other than popularizing he wildcat, they've been uniquely meh on offense, defend, and in general. Just had has Miami done this millennia??? They don't even have the excuse of "same, stagnant" owner either. It's probably not a good sign when the only notable things from recent history are a head coach claiming they were tanking and a QB whose really good at getting concussed

Reminds me when profootballtalk has a comments section. It was the best demonstration of how insanely retarded football fans can get.
Who actually makes the administrative decisions for the Packers without a traditional "owner". I never really understood how this works.
It's the President, who gets voted in every so often. Team owners, such as myself, get a ballot every summer to vote people in for various roles. I'm a very important person on the team and make very critical decisions. You could say I'm a "big deal", so I do thorough research prior to casting my ballot. In-depth research as: "Is this person a hwite male?"

There's more to it than just voting in whoever, for team president though. I'm not familiar with the specific process to get in the running, but you get the gist. Currently Mark Murphy, but he's stepping down soon due to age limits.

Has the NFL actually stopped doing that "Black National Anthem" shit?
Unfortunately not. We'll see if that persists during the upcoming season but, so far, the only reaction they've had to the 2024 election/America's growing nigger fatigue was not painting "end racism" in the Super Bowl end zones anymore.

On the one hand, we would miss out on the drama from the Jordan Love pick and its fallout.
On the other, can you imagine the amount of WR busts a Packers team ran by shareholders would draft in Aaron's later career?

The Dolphins like to sign some older former big name free agents every offseason. They’ve done this for 25 years. This acquisition of mediocre talent has ensured the team its annual spot picking at 14 or 15 in the draft. The few times they are shitty enough to pick high, it’s in a weak draft, or they pick exactly the wrong guy (Jake Long instead of Matt Ryan. Traded down to take Waddle over Jamarr Chase. Tua instead of Herbert). The few remaining years they squeak into the playoffs and immediately lose in a game that’s obviously over by halftime

Just the pure definition of worthless and forgettable. The 70 point game was the highlight of the century for this team, and that was spoiled quickly the next week when they were annihilated by the Bills

Dogshit franchise, do not recommend supporting them

I'm envisioning trading draft picks from 2035 to get their guy.

Though, if shareholders had a say in 2017, Green Bay would have drafted TJ Watt in 2017, The team trading back for picks and Kevin King may have been a mistake. Vince Beigel, who was kinda a fan service pick for pick for skipping on Watt, did NOT work out either. They did manage to draft Jamaal Williams and Aaron Jones though, so that was p cool.

So how is the decision making gets splitted? Anyone with more authority?
There is a President/CEO. That's currently Mark Murphy. He represents them at owners meetings, although reportedly he isn't taken as seriously if other owners don't agree with what he's saying because he isn't in the Billionaires Club.

Go team football!

I do appreciate that St. Louis is using their team as an opportunity to say "fuck Stan Kroenke". Yeah, the city is a dying, nog-infested shithole with the only out-of-town attraction being the St. Louis Cardinals and The Arch, which is closed all the fucking time, but he gigajewed the city hard.

Nope. Team president is the defacto owner. I imagine there's got to be a mechanism of the owner gets caught doing blow and fucking hookers, but that hasn't happened yet.

On the flipside, lol Jerry Jones. The Arkansanigger runs the owners.
