...Joined the farms for this thread. It's just too boring to facepalm all alone.
I forgot if someone mentioned how crappy the new super important conveniently placed plot flowers look, but well, they're crap. If it was so important to add them at this point, why not make (steal) them like, an actual model? Oh wait... I forgot, it must be a placeholder. :) My bad...
I also forget how many times his addiction to tsubasa wo kudasai has been discussed. But I remember it being sung in Danganronpa 3 anime, when student council people are, well, spoiler, killing each other. Just somehow reminded me of our favorite devpai. Wonder if it inspired him (even more).
And I agree, human traffic thing is the worst. I'm actually ok with most of the other sick stuff in this so-called game, (or well, don't really mind 'cause I'm one sick bastard) but even planning on putting something like that into the game... Is just wrong.

I know this :offtopic:, however could people give feedback on the main menu for SoL.

No, he doesn't. Because if he did, he would have known it would have made no sense to ripoff Rockstar Games' 2007 hit videogame Bully, which also had a final chapter called "Endless Summer", and which also took place at the end of the school year after you beat the game to allow the player time to complete all of the optional objectives, mini games, and tasks that they still had left to complete.

It's true. Guy doesn't have an original bone in his body, and he can't even rip stuff off well.
The inclusion of an explorable town in the game was also inspired by Bully, although he admitted to that one... I think.

That should be possible as the patent that existed for it expired, however that won't be something that is focused on.
That's still one of the most retarded patents I've heard of in my life.

This is going to be a bit nitpicky.

Violin girl's arm comes a bit too close to the menu for my liking. When the heart comes down to select "Exit Game" or even "Credits" it might clip.

Shifting just the menu will likely clip into the title though, hitting the "f" in of. Not sure if you want to shift both the title and menu to the right, move violin girl to the left, or have the heart appear on top of her hand.

Welcome back from your threadban.

It's cute however the game option should maybe be placed more at the bottom right as it will allow more space between it and the game's title
Though you guys and team who's doing Elegy Project should probably make your own thread about it and ask for feedback on it.

I do kinda like the composition already, so I'm just going to be a nitpick nazi for a few minutes here and throw some ideas for finishing touches(while recognizing that it is a WIP and you've probably already considered all of this):

-Fill out the left side of the cherry tree a little bit, add some more pink there. The empty spot kinda looks like an upside down heart, maybe flip it right way up to cheesily float above the main characters?

-The sketched characters could me more squished together, I think it would look a bit more natural that way and give some more room to the title and menu.

-A little bit of animation would look really good with this. If making hair/clothes/leaves slightly flutter in the wind sounds like too much of a pain in the ass, let the cherry petals fly all over the background and foreground.

-Admittedly, I haven't done my research on your project. But I'm guessing a very subtly placed bloody knife or maybe an axe peeking from under the bench behind their legs wouldn't be out of place? And might drive home the less lovey-dovey aspects of the game. Anyway, I think the image part could use a similar hint like the bleeding heart on the title.

:offtopic::offtopic:Okay, back on topic, now... :offtopic::offtopic:

Someone just mod a huge fucking beak on "Senpai" already so even the Yandevtards get a clue on who he is supposed to represent. Maybe add a greenish stench and a receding hairline the closer you get to him, instead of the floating hearts?

Better yet, make it so that the new objective is to find out who Ev-, shit, "Senpai" is stalking, gather evidence to present to them and warn them before they end up in his (mom's) basement. Bonus points for replacing Ayano with Kiwi-chan.

This...would actually make for an interesting Yandere based game.
No really, have your yandere fall for a creepy stalker who has fetish's poor Yan-chan doesn't (I dunno....big busts and pink hair perhaps?) and then find out who he's stalking, then you can find ways to fuck with the girl to make her less appealing to Eva-pai (dye her hair black, have her show intelligence, comatose boob reduction, show her being good at video games).
Not only could you make the game fun that way by finding creative ways to mess up the girls because killing them would come with a penalty but you'd make senpai interesting by giving him an uncommon personality trait and this could lead to all sorts of hilarious creepyness from his actions.

If I were him, I would use the cherry trees as an indicator of the route you're in. As an example, if you kill all your rivals, the trees lose all their petals. If you don't kill any of them, the trees will remain full of petals. If you kill some and spare others, the trees lose some of their petals depending on how much people you kill.
That's a really cool idea. If you wanted to get super creative you could maybe have the gardening club grow different flowers depending on your route. Japan has its own language of flowers called Hanakotoba, and you could communicate different ideas through the symbolism in a way that's more interesting than just "DEATH FLOWERS BECAUSE MURDER". You could even work it into the ending; something like a yellow tulip for "one sided love" because you broke Senpai and he's become a vegetable you can manipulate, or forget me nots if you somehow manage to pull off getting Senpai to actually love you etc etc

It's not like there aren't spider lily models online, but I could easily see a scissors type problem where Eva would just spam high poly models everywhere. It also doesn't help that they don't grow like that at all - there's typically multiple flower heads.

At the very least if the sprites didn't all just wave in the exact same direction continually and weren't placed in a perfect circle around a tree it'd look better, but then the cherry tree hill would look better if it wasn't just a sphere embedded in a flat plane.

Thank you and yes there will be a female senpai.

In fact, Seiko will also have a male option and maybe, if we find a way that doesnt comtradict with the story, the rivals can also be either male or female. Obviously, the player has no control to change the rivals gender and their gender will just be chosen by the game using RNG
I really like the idea of the randomized gender of the rivals, gives a player more of a reason to replay it (since, even with x elimination methods, having the rivals switch gender once in a while between your playthroughs seems like a really nice and interesting touch)

Honestly, if I wasn't such a mediocre artist (with nice colouring skills if it's weebish art, though. Seriously I specialise in colouring somehow...) and only a decent writer and beginner programmer, I'd want to help out at better versions of Yan.... I mean, Fetish Simulator.

Though being no good didn't stop Devpai either and he makes 5k a month...

If you want to help you can allways ask though. Besides that, there is more in game development then just pretty character drawings and nice strings of words.

Because, from what i know, you are an artist, you can allways help out with concept art, storyboarding, refrence art for 3d modellers, etc.

(though having enviroment art will help us the most)

Also thank you, for being interested.

Well, its good and stuff, really promissing. But... I noticed you guys are using the character design of the previous art team, and since we left the team overall agreed on not using them for ethic reasons.
Why exactly are the designs still being used?

Some of the fans mentioned how the Lycoris Radiata/ Red Spider Lily flowers represent afterlife/ resurrection in Japan so he does do a minimal amount of research.

Edit: soz I didn't see if anyone else had posted it before

Agreed, he could do something with "Kuroyuri meaning Love/ curse "

Yeah, that was before you and the team came back and complained about us NOT using your hairstyle, and were annoyed about using a different design so we conceded, and threw away old design to please you.

Just because you decided to leave within 6 hours does not mean that I should have to tell the modeller to start remaking the model because you decided to leave because Bootleg left (who ironically tried to rejoin the team again yesterday).

Edit: I would also like to point out that we still went of our way to change the character, just to avoid conflict with you and the others. The buns were made smaller, the side-hair was made longer and is now parted differently, we even changed the clothes and are actively avoiding making clothes that are similar to what you and the others came up with.
