God Myrna is such a typical boomer narc. She only ever posts about some bullshit holiday she's taking and bragging about how expensive it is, as if anyone in the world gives a shit about two deluded old corpses visiting Maui or whatever. The only time it's ever been worthwhile was when she dropped three paragraphs about some expensive cruise and midway through was like "by the way, Lucas has stage four kidney failure" and then went back to praising the wait staff

If we ever wonder why Lucas always mentions how expensive his steak/ribeye/whatever he got a restaurant was (back in his Clinkerdagger days where it was always about the $65 prime rib or how he bought his "buddy" a $90 steak etc) and how he thinks it's a flex....here's the likely reason. Obviously Lucas is, at least chronologically, an adult and responsible for his own idiocy but I think you can trace back at least some of it to his mom. It's really just trashy and tacky bragging and desperately wanting to be seen as affluent and cultured.

In other news, Myrna and Larry are going to Hawaii in July (providing they don't suffer any further health problems) and they're flying first class. I can only imagine how pissed Lucas would be if he heard about that. His parents spending what he views as his money on things that he would like to do (unless he's already forgotten about those fantasies about taking a holiday to Hawaii after only working for a week or so). And his parents flying first class? The thought of that would enrage him if he ever found out about it. Of course, there's also a good to fair chance that he does know about all of this and is trying (with great difficulty) to not sperg out about it. I'd love to see him busting at the seams, trying to contain himself when his mother gives him that one final call before she flies out, or when she catches up afterwards and tells him all about how amazing Hawaii is and how much she enjoyed flying first class.

There's no way the Grisbys have any money. We've seen the crack shacks they keep bouncing from Myrna hinted how broke they are with the Mexico move. I and some others have kept an eye on the properties they buy and sell. Very rarely do they make money and when they do it's pocket change in real estate money terms. I'm talking not enough to cover move and closing cost on new pad.

I assume they just reroll loans and do actually pay the bills but as the past few years have crept rates up drastically any nest egg is being burnt or more so what little income they have is being siphoned into the new notes. I feel no pity towards these negative stereotype boomers (and yes they can afford to do this but me who's still working and got a mortgage and family have to pay for their son) but the last trip is sad. what difference is a vacation to someone that doesn't work? while he was employed at walmart it made some sense although some can argue that part time shelf stocking is not exactly difficult work, however other than the scenery his experience would be oogling women, eating, lazing about, and spending money carelessly - things he already does. you just know the novelty of the experience is likely lost on him - not like he'd go snorkling or blue water fishing or something.

That said, funny thing happened. I ended up buying that schedule 1 game just to see what the hype was about. Its pretty decent for an EA game, particularly one made by one guy. As long as he keeps with it and doesn't find a way to fuck it up it should end up being a rather good game. But anyway I was fucking around with meth production trying to come up with a wern themed meth that caused its users to develop wern like side effects. I managed to get most of them, came up with one that was close, that caused baldness, paranoia, smelly, was toxic, calorie dense, bright eyed, euphoric, schizophrenic, laxative and a few other things that fit lucas....and then burst out laughing when I saw the default name for it that the game generated - girl scout cum. I shit you not. Shit like that makes me seriously wonder about that whole simulation theory sometimes. Apparently the universe really does have a sense of humor. I was going to call it something telomere related but that was too eerily accurate not to pick instead. The funnier thing is i'm making bank on it

Hrm. I'm familiar with the game, but no idea much beyond the concept. I'd imagine the most realistic method would involve heavy psychedelics though. Meth wouldn't fuck the brain in quite the same way as Lucas's.

Now that I'm thinkin' about it, I'm curious how LSD or shrooms would affect Lucas these days. Yeah, psychedelics are especially bad for schizofrenics, but the hobo's brain is already miswired to hell and back. I guess it could trigger him to become violent, but he's already one degree of separation away from losing shoestring and fork privileges so it's not like there's much worse it could get.
