I don't want to speculate on such serious things without hard evidence but it was very obvious the boundaries between the spaces in the house for the kids and their things, and the spaces of the adults and their things were non existent. Just a chaotic environment and very confusing mentally I am sure for the younger ones who don't have that normal environment of boundaries. At the very least it is an environment that can lead to unhealthy interactions, if not the family then whoever comes strolling in. Hopefully one day they will be able to know that it is not normal and find themselves a nice space.
