Edit! I would like to preface this all by saying that things I don’t like are totally allowed to exist and I have NO issue with PIV porn or trans guys who enjoy it.
My issue is not with the porn itself!! It is with how this porn influences some of the cis men I interact with, and how it misleads them into believing that every trans man likes a certain thing that many of us do not. I’ve had guys be rude or insensitive when I tell them I do not like vaginal penetration, and I know that this wouldn’t happen as much if PIV wasn’t seen as the “norm” when it comes to gay sex including a trans man. It is totally fine that many people do enjoy it and there is nothing wrong with that! This is just my PERSONAL preference and my own frustration that has resulted from negative experiences I have had with cis people assuming what I like or don’t like simply based on the parts I have.
I’m a bottom, but exclusively anally. It’s incredibly frustrating to find any material or representation in which the other hole isn’t the center of attention. I like to read fanfiction, but it’s pretty obvious almost everything including trans men is written by women for other women to insert themselves into, using triggering language, and ALWAYS focused on the front hole. Real porn isn’t any better,
it’s impossible to find any content where trans men bottom anally. Every guy I’ve talked to sexually is disappointed when I say I don’t like vaginal penetration. I’m just so frustrated that we are portrayed in the media as a monolith, and the effects it has on my and many others’ sex lives
Edit:
was talking about written erotica containing trans men. I do know that a lot of trans men do write erotica and I think that that’s awesome! I have come across stuff written by other trans men and thought that it was well written.
What I meant regarding written pornography was how lots of cis women do write trans men without doing research on how our anatomy can differ from theirs and how a lot of it can come across as fetishistic (to me). I would never assume the gender of a writer, and think anyone can write what they want and that’s totally fine!
There are just people that I KNOW are cis women (because they have said so themselves) and how a lot of the writing coming from those people could have been written without the feelings of trans men in mind.
I hope this clears up any confusion!
I am autistic and not always great with my words and know that I can be offensive without meaning to. It was not my intention to make other people feel like they are less valid for their sexual preferences. This was just a vent born out of frustration on my part and you are welcome to disagree with me if you wish!!!
