Sonichu Sonichu drawing for sale

I can think of a few pages from Genesis of the Lovehogs alone that would get him into three figures each from weens and unironic followers. He's sitting on some real cash, if he actually is still sitting on the folder of original sonichus. I could also see them being in the hands of some crafty urban explorer after Chris left them sitting in his room while grabbing at legos instead.

Exactly.

If they all got incinerated though I guess my point is moot

This shit (Jackson Pollock No. 5, 1948) was sold for 140 million dollars.
Forget all the discussion on artistic merit. Like everything else it comes down to this: That Jackson Pollock is "worth $140,000,000"¹ because someone was willing to pay that much for it. Chris' own effort isn't worth the $1000 he is currently demanding because nobody is willing to pay that much for it.

I wouldn't pay $140,000,000 for that Jackson Pollock, but I'd pay $100,000,000 for it. Why? Because I know there's someone out there willing to give me $40,000,000 in profit for it. I might even be willing to pay $100 for Chris' art. Of course I'd immediately cut it into 1 inch squares and sell them to weens on ebay for $5 each, giving me a tidy $340 maximum gross profit. That's what I call "Art Appreciation".

¹ At four feet by eight feet, that's $4,375,000 per square foot, making No. 5, 1948, the most expensive sheet of chipboard in the world. Chris' drawing, at $1,540.11 per square foot, is a bargain by comparison (even taking into account the 50 to 1 difference in material costs it's only 1% the price of the Pollock), but still nobody is buying.
And Peter Patrickson just crossed the threshold from annoying idiot to bannable dickwad...
Screencap early. Screencap often.
Ok, no, so, Chris doesn't want money. He wants easy money.

Being reasonable and making more drawings is exactly on par with telling Chris to get a job.

Really, considering his goals, a BIN sale on ebay, with one picture, is the most reasonable thing for Chris to do. He can either make $1k, or he can make nothing, but then he's right back where he started. So, whatever.
Exactly. And it makes sense once people understand all the money Chris has ever gotten has been easy money. So is it any wonder that easy money is what he has come to expect and demand? If it isn't easy money, he wants no truck with it.
Why do you guys think he bought the frame? Chances are he found an old photo of Bob and took out and threw away the photograph instead.
Chris did say he was going to "purchase a good frame" for it, but I can see him doing that as well. From his pictures it's clear that the frame doesn't fit the drawing, and I know they sell frames for letter size documents. So Chris recycling a frame might explain that, but his general incompetence also explains it pretty well.
Oh she definitely could force fatty to get a job. She just hasn't reached that level of necessity yet. If it ever got to that point, I'd be interested to see how she handles the "I can't work, but you, Chrissy, have to work" issue.
I'm pretty sure how Barb would handle that. I want to see how Chris handles it.
The entire planet MUST be punished for this outrage!
So he may well charge an additional thousand the next time he re-lists it, just to teach them a lesson. Chris is OWED. It was BASICALLY PROMISED.

I think if he were to re-draw the Sonichu series and put each issue into a PDF file while charging roughly $5 per issue, people would buy them so fast he'd make hundreds in a mere span of HOURS!

No seriously, considering that sending copies (and for a limited time) wouldn't take too long and require little effort after drawing out an issue he'd realize how little work he'd have to do afterwards.

Oh but that takes some work, my bad

Perhaps to scam the slanderous tweens who cannot get enough of Sonichu
Have you ever seen one of Chris's scams play out?

The originals died in the house fire. @skyraider91 implied it over chat a few weeks ago.
They didn't rebuild the lighthouse of Alexandria, or put new arms on the Venus de Milo. Redrawing Sonichu would be a crime against art.

Should we start a bet on what the drawing is going to sell for? I am feeling very confident that it's going to sell for a decent chunk of cash. People on the internet already gave him a thousand dollars once before, and some fucking woman on Chris' Facebook offered $200 for it in between whiteknighting rants. Someone on this board already expressed interest in buying it. It's like 90% likely to be purchased.

Seriously, whoever buys this thing becomes a LOLcow automatically.

If the $200 dollar offer is somehow legit (I don't think it is) then I expect that once he gets tired of relisting it he'll then contact the commenter as a Plan Z.

But he wouldn't even have to make more! He could sell drawings he already has, all of which would be worth more than this one, bringing his total workload up to "occasionally mail things" with eventually the same amount of profit. He probably wouldn't even have to frame them.
Yeah, but the original sonichu comics? Worth more than all the gold in the world. Sure, he'd sell them, but no one has enough money to cover Chris' price on them.

He literally posted this while I was reading his earlier comment. Weird feeling.
