This shit (Jackson Pollock No. 5, 194

was sold for 140 million dollars.
Forget all the discussion on artistic merit. Like everything else it comes down to this: That Jackson Pollock is "worth $140,000,000"¹ because
someone was willing to pay that much for it. Chris' own effort isn't worth the $1000 he is currently demanding because nobody is willing to pay that much for it.
I wouldn't pay $140,000,000 for that Jackson Pollock, but I'd pay $100,000,000 for it. Why? Because I know there's someone out there willing to give me $40,000,000 in profit for it. I might even be willing to pay $100 for Chris' art. Of course I'd immediately cut it into 1 inch squares and sell them to weens on ebay for $5 each, giving me a tidy $340 maximum gross profit. That's what I call "Art Appreciation".
¹ At four feet by eight feet, that's $4,375,000 per square foot, making No. 5, 1948, the most expensive sheet of chipboard in the world. Chris' drawing, at $1,540.11 per square foot, is a bargain by comparison (even taking into account the 50 to 1 difference in material costs it's only 1% the price of the Pollock), but still nobody is buying.
And Peter Patrickson just crossed the threshold from annoying idiot to bannable dickwad...
Screencap early. Screencap often.
Ok, no, so, Chris doesn't want money. He wants easy money.
Being reasonable and making more drawings is exactly on par with telling Chris to get a job.
Really, considering his goals, a BIN sale on ebay, with one picture, is the most reasonable thing for Chris to do. He can either make $1k, or he can make nothing, but then he's right back where he started. So, whatever.
Exactly. And it makes sense once people understand
all the money Chris has ever gotten has been easy money. So is it any wonder that easy money is what he has come to expect and demand? If it isn't easy money, he wants no truck with it.
Why do you guys think he bought the frame? Chances are he found an old photo of Bob and took out and threw away the photograph instead.
Chris did say he was going to "purchase a good frame" for it, but I can see him doing that as well. From his pictures it's clear that the frame doesn't fit the drawing, and I know they sell frames for letter size documents. So Chris recycling a frame might explain that, but his general incompetence also explains it pretty well.
Oh she definitely could force fatty to get a job. She just hasn't reached that level of necessity yet. If it ever got to that point, I'd be interested to see how she handles the "I can't work, but you, Chrissy, have to work" issue.
I'm pretty sure how Barb would handle that. I want to see how Chris handles it.
The entire planet MUST be punished for this outrage!
So he may well charge an additional thousand the next time he re-lists it, just to teach them a lesson. Chris is OWED. It was BASICALLY PROMISED.
