Bob is such a brand fanboy for the MCU that he can't admit his beloved franchise is formulaic. At least the DCEU was trying to go for something different with MoS, BvS, and what Snyder's vision for JL was going to be. I don't know if he speeds up his voice or is just talking as fast as possible because he's a sperg, but the only way to make Bob's content not give you an instant headache is by setting the playback sped to 0.75 so it's mildly easier to listen to.

Has Bob ever given an actual reason for why he's ruining his videos from the get-go by speeding up his voice/talking fast? I'd much rather listen to someone ramble on for 20 minutes at a regular pace than listen to them trying to imitate John Moschitta Jr. for 15 minutes.

I always assumed he was just ripping off Yahtzee since they were both on the Escapist.

That or he thinks it makes him sound smarter, since it seems like he is just rattling off ideas and information really quickly without having to think about.

Having to 'suffer' like that is the greatest punishment for people like Bob. Not getting the intellectual utopia they KNOW they're entitled to? It's a prison whose walls they rail against every day, yet cannot ever escape. I've known a few people like that who are already in ill health in their early 40's for burning out their lives aggressively hating on the supposed idiots they had to live and work next to all the time... and that was before Twitter got big.

He ripped off the Zero Punctuation style badly and accelerated his voice and use a neutral stage accent. He is still jealous of Yahtzee so he's still using the style he ripped off of him when they were coworkers and thus also accelerated in his voice to try and be like Zero Punctuation despite Yahtzee simply editing out any parts where he's not speaking, his real accent slipped is an extreme Bostonian accent .
