In practice and in theory. I think the people who try to sell communism and appeal to the non-violent masses claim that "Oh well they'll just be put in time out until they realize the bigger picture". Social shunning while still technically being *in* the community.

Communism only comes to power when people are calling for the deaths of aristocrats and foreign invaders. I don't think it's ever come about through a genuine hatred of markets and businessmen.

Three prominent examples would be Russia (the Romanovs), China (the entire fucking world) and Cuba. While Cuba was about "businessmen," they were mostly the American Mafia. In all three cases, they did actually get rid of the detested aristocrats and foreign invaders (and a lot of other people too) and ended up with something worse, although arguably China was the most successful of the three in the long run (largely by abandoning Communism).

China - Foreigners dominate China, millions still living as serfs in caves. The Chinese didn't experience communist uprisings in Shanghai or Nanjing because things were good there. However, incidents with American soldiers in these cities spread to the countryside and the communists tended to do better against the Japanese.

Cuba - American/Mafia domination of Cuba. The Cuban constitution allowed the US to legally invade to enforce its will on Cuba.


Communism always coopts nationalism and exceptional circumstances to get normal people to go along with them.

Some primitive prehistoric communities indeed worked in such a quasi-communistic way because that's about how big they were at best, and all they had to share was some tools made of rock and bone really. I find it funny when some modern college commies take note of that and totally can't connect the dots why it couldn't exactly work the same in a large modern industrialized society.

I've said it before a long time ago but there's a reason why communism never grows organically, it can only be established by toppling over the existing society or by invasion and enforcing it. And then it doesn't produce anything but can only slowly live off what was produced before it or at the very best stagnate.

Not really. Anti-fascism, the idea that fascism is not a good or practical system, is a political stance and an ideology. Antifa is a group of militants that take direct action against anything they deem "fascist", including right-wing libertarians (deemed "proto-fascists").

The vast majority of the free world is anti-fascist. Antifa are just exceptionals that have slapped the label on themselves to feel cool/dangerous, like ADF.

That's rely just tribalism thought. The underlining idea of why that works is the expectation of direct reciprocity (If I help Jim when his cops fuck up, he is expected to help me later when I have a big deal problem. Even if it's very hard on him to help me).
