So it turns out that part wasn't true, but in one of Rekieta's streams, he said that Toei knows about the situation. Has there been any update on what Toei's doing aside from waiting to see what will happen?

To me that guy in the background seems like one of those guys at a weeding that cry's more then the person actually getting married that someone thinking the situation is disgusting or w/e.

In theory, sure. But Ron and Monica couldn't even pay their lawyers to write competent motions, do deposition preparation with them, or vet any of the witnesses named in testimony they gave or the affidavits that were submitted.

Pretty sure they've always been blocked in Japan because they have legal obligations not to compete directly with the company in its own market.

I wouldn't read too much into it. I predicted exactly this on Sunday because it just makes sense. I think it is likely he wants to move this along as quickly as possible, though.
