I think the reason that it went from "RotJ is a weak entry" to "a pile of shit" is probably related to cosmonaut doing a vid on it back in the day, I think when episode VIII was coming out

One can't help wondering if there were females familiar with the SW franchise who could have developed a ST that told a better, unified story and didn't have the emphasis on identity politics and cheap gimmicks we saw in the ST that Disney released.

So now the Rise of Skywalker has made a box office of $761.7 million to its $275 million budget. The movie's box office is nearly 2.77 times its budget.

The consoomer strikes again. Is this due to sheer brand strength, I wonder? Or is Disney fudging the numbers?

Considering that thus far, they've lost 2.2 Billion on the IP, I think the numbers tell us a lot.

To me it seems like reading the visual dictionary will give you brain damage or open a portal to hell.

It's a rare case where the movies don't explain important things, so you need to read additional material to make sense of what is going on, but the additional material is so bad and major things being retconned with every movie that comes out invalidate their entire content, that you end up knowing less if you read the additional stuff.

Think about that for a while, your confusion increases when you look up Disney-approved info-material.

Family and I went to the movies today for New Year's. My stupid sibling insisted on seeing Star Wars while we fucked off to see something better. No one was in the theater to see it with them. The guy taking their ticket told them "good luck" when they entered the empty theater.

According to commentary from Kasdan on Solo, its Kennedy who has a fondness for "marine life" and likes to google images of weird tentacled things and sea creatures and add them to the films (kinda cements the whole Kennedy+Abeloth theory doesn't it?). A similar thing happened with Rogue One where the Mairan were replaced with fat creepy face raping octopi.
