Reporting in from Puyallup, WA, ended up going on a run with my mom to our local Costco a little bit after they opened. Traffic on the way was clear, the parking lot was about half filled. They were letting people enter in waves and waiting for people to leave so it wasn't too busy inside, there were limits of 1/2 on most of the basic essentials and we managed to get a one of the last packs of lysol aerosol (something that's evaded us ever since panic buying started, same with isopropyl). The only thing they were out of was TP. We've been stocking food and general medicine for a couple weeks now and aside from no guns we're good to live inside for at least a month so long as none of the utilities ever goes out.
I've been feeling progressively worse over the last week, around this time is when my yearly allergies hit like a truck. Problem is all the main symptoms except fever are what I normally get anyway so who knows if we already got the virus. The past three days I've effectively coofed everything out of my throat, but now I have this persistent dry, rough, cough. Tastes metallic, like blood, but there wasn't anything in my mucus indicating any blood. The coughing does get much, much, worse at night like the rest of my allergy shenanigans so I'm trying to be optimistic that I'll be okay for now. I'm much more worried about most of my extended family, everybody is either old, have other major health issues, smoke heavily, or all three. Thankfully my parents are relatively young without much health problems, and all my brothers are healthy.
Now, I'm not so scared of the virus so much as I am what will happen when it spreads into Tacoma. Shit's basically a mini detriot with more spics sprinkled all over. Tons of homeless camping major intersections for hand outs. Seattle is far enough that I don't think it will blow down here, but downtown Tacoma is less than a 20 minute drive away and considering peoples reactions so far, it's gonna be wild.
I'll try to keep my phone handy so if any fun happens I can throw it on here, but just in case I die...
