She later asked TCC to help her identify some unmarked pills she found in his stash to see which ones would get her high. The ironic thing is, you could attach images to your posts, but I think it had some strict limitations, like (I could be wrong about this, correct me) you could only upload one image per post, the image could only be under the text you wrote, and it couldn't exceed a certain size? That size being something reasonably generous by 2001 standards but laughable by modern standards, and you had to have a platinum account to upload at all. And even platinum account holders rarely used it because of those restrictions.

And I know WaffleImages was the big one that was around and eventually went down, but before that, ImageShack was the go-to for uploading, and they eventually blocked SA for some reason. I remember the administration did a mass-edit of posts containing Imageshack URLs to convert them to Waffleimages, with a migration of images to Waffleimages, but once Waffle went down, nobody bothered to even try and fix it.

There's been lots of tcc deaths, I remember junkies dying since the early 2000s, usually heroin related.

I remember one post where a junkie wanted to ween themselves off heroin and made a thread. They were going to taper the dose over a couple of weeks and be clean when they came out the other side. So of course they had to cop a bunch of dope for a months supply and of course it was all gone after the first 3 days. No idea if they died or what their username was.

I believe you're talking about sunburnt_aphid. She was destroying her body with black tar heroin and describing her decline in gruesome detail; after she ran out of usable veins to inject it into she started injecting right into her muscles and they were starting to leak pus. People were begging her to go into rehab; a TCC mod told her to just try taking a bunch of LSD instead. She vanished not long after, and that particular TCC mod (@HondaRider271 ) was demodded. When the incident was talked about here on the Farms, he immediately registered an account to defend his actions.

I can't remember the name of the guy who set up an online phenazepam storefront; he bought a big supply and started reselling to goons. Then he started playing with his own supply, then suddenly he was on a Greyhound going across the country, then suddenly his phenazepam supply had mysteriously vanished, then suddenly he was found dead on a park bench in Phoenix.
