The whole copyright strike shit happened because of it. Before that happened, hololive basically streamed whatever they wanted, permission be damned. Mio decided to stream Ghost Trick on an emulator and she got 2 copyright strikes in short order, which caused her to take a hiatus as they got her channel restored by disputing the strikes. This led to the mass privatization of everything else their talent has done, although some things are slowly coming back. Coco's been promoting her Yakuza playthroughs since the SEGA deal was cut.

Subaru is pretty young. Not the youngest but she's around there, so it wouldn't surprise me if the people in the photo were just relatives or something. The kid could very well be a younger sibling or her brother's kid, or that account could be not Subaru at all and just a similar looking person.

Didn't someone say Sora was actually a voice actress in her 30s or some shit? That's not really something that makes a ton of sense unless they really stick to her character about her being just out of highschool. I don't doubt that she could have been a seiyuu, some of them are pretty young when they get into voice acting.

I mean, there's plenty of people she could be and there are ton of female supports. I would main support just because someone had to do it and I could be the asshole who punished my own team for stupid shit by not following them.

I got a pic from this thread by a user named "Dead Weight" (post here) but I did some reverse image searches and some weird shit came up but nothing I could confirm. Seems he got it from a year-old chan post, from what I can tell, with no receipts (find it here, scroll 1/3 to 1/2way down). Further tracking back got me to some Japanese blog sites but things don't add up. This one from July, 2019 is shopped to make her look "more attractive." The same day, though, a pic showed up on this blog unshopped as a comment rebutting a claim as to Sora's real appearance. I've found similar things in other Japanese blogs. No hard evidence that the pic is actually Sora, but the people who think it is seem to be pretty insistent.

This is supposed to be Sora when she was a voice actress, the page has voice samples you can compare. It sounds like her to me but I'm not a big enough fan to tell.

Yes that's her, if you look you can see the site of the other voice-acting/talent agency she was (is still?) a part of, as well. EDIT: Renmei posted it above.

It doesn't give her age but I don't think she looks like she's in her 30's. I can't for the life of me remember the video but someone on Niconico, on one of those "Vtuber Exposed" compilation mashups had a clip of her when she was still in highschool talking about wanting to be a singer/idol, so I think she may be pretty young as well and just look "old for her age," as they say.

Yeah, I still don't buy it it's Sora. We still don't have other evidence like the other girls did, and I don't think her voice is that distinctive enough that we know it's her, like how Pekora's laugh is still the same from back in her NND time


However....Sora being a seiyuu before Hololive kind of makes sense to me, since Cover will most likely hire someone skilled as their first Vtubers, considering thag Hololive originated as a tech demo and not a talent group

That said, if it really is Sora, then why would the seiyuu agency still have her profile up in their website, considering Cover is now also kind of a talent agency, unless of course it's just a lip service and I was wrong

I mean, Kizuna Ai and that frog girl from upd8 were also voiced by seiyuu, though I don't know where or which agency they are signed up on

I don't know if I buy it either. I've gotten voices wrong before when trying to guess but the site Renmei linked has some clues. It lists her hobbies as "Voice, Flute, and Piano" and says she's from Kanagawa Prefecture. If Sora has ever dropped those details, that could lend credibility.

Also, it says she worked on Uta no Prince-sama, but there are a half-dozen productions for that property and I've dug a little but haven't found her name attached to any acting role or music.

I searched for her name in kanji on Google and this site came up pretty high in the search. I will take another look at it over the weekend and see if I can decipher enough of the moon runes to get a clearer picture but the first paragraph straight up says it digs into whether Aoyama Ayana is Sora.

Kind of a shame that it's her last stream though because post-game GTA V when you can afford to buy whatever superfluous shit you want is peak opportunity for someone like Miko. But I understand she can't stay on one game forever. Learning of her history though it's just incredible how she has the ties to GTA V that she does - the popularity of her videos playing it in earlier days seems to have really built the foundation for her becoming an international vtuber sensation.

Is there any particular reason why Mel and Choco don't have that many translated clips? Do they have their own Lyger, or is it simply a matter of disinterest from the Western/English-speaking side?
