I hate it so much when open world sandbox games pull this kind of "Clock is ticking" narrative shit.I like a lot of Cyberpunk and its story but the biochip was an awful plot point that did not mesh with the gameplay at all. You're told you will die slowly and painfully and it will happen "soon" (I'm pretty sure Vic gives you three weeks), but this doesn't align with the open world gameplay design and doesn't even attempt to.

actually they dont and thats the problem. cdpt in their hubris tough that sony would be ok in refunding the game without asking them so sony told them to fuck off at like 2 am polish time and delisted the entire fucking thing.Watching Muta's vid on the latest Cyberjank patch, I have to know, which fucktard fired the entire QA team?
I got my refund - and I'm still amazed that Soyny of all fucking companies actually gave full refunds (I know, laugh at the filthy console peasant) - but it's just amazing to watch CDPR just speedrun being Bethesda
The story was trash.Anyway, from storytelling point, this game is strong 8/10.
I think everything up until the after the heist and a lot of the side quests are pretty solidly written while everything revolving around Johnny Silverhand is fanfic tier trash. It's pretty obvious whatever story they had written was trashed completely around 2018/2019 when wholesome big chungus Reeves came aboard and the relic storyline was hastily thrown together to justify his involvement. CDPR is retarded though and probably won't learn from this. Witcher 4 will probably have Queen Latifa as Ciri's wisecracking companion who's a peerless swordswoman and powerful mage. The story was trash.
And this is from someone who enjoys the Deathlands book series.

Silverhand was walking cringe and added nothing to the story. It's almost like Jackie was written out of the story in favor of Keanu Reeves hype.I think everything up until the after the heist and a lot of the side quests are pretty solidly written while everything revolving around Johnny Silverhand is fanfic tier trash.

Turns out Keanu wasn't so breathtaking after allDefinitely. The worst thing is, the relic storyline could be decent in a different game than they promised and if it wasn't so hastily thrown together. I like the general idea of Johnny Silverhand and his crusade against Corporations, but there's a disconnect when Johnny is a complete asshole to you no matter how you operate not to mention Reeves acting is just stiff as all hell.
There's a speech where he explains to you how he saw the Corporations ruin farms and turn the city into complete shit and how their attempts to literally steal the souls of people is an abomination. On paper it should be a pivotal moment in the story and for Silverhand, but Reeves delivers it in such a stilted way it just ruins everything about it.
And then right afterwards, even if you agree with him, it's back to him calling you a pussy ass bitch and just complaining about all the little shit and constantly ragging on literally everyone he meets. His motivation is all over the fucking place.

It makes me almost wish Cyberpunk had an invisible morality system that would affect how Silverhand would talk to you. Kinda like Eleanor Lamb in Bioshock 2.And then right afterwards, even if you agree with him, it's back to him calling you a pussy ass bitch and just complaining about all the little shit and constantly ragging on literally everyone he meets. it's funny the altered model to evade strikes but it can be struck because of keanu's voice tho. This game is so unfinished, it brought Manslayer and Gamer Poop back.
No Man's Sky was a solid game that could be built off from relatively easily and fixed into a pretty decent game.Do any of you think that they'll make good on their promises via patches? No man's Sky pulled some miraculous shit and I'm personally hoping so will CD.
Aaaaand...that's how we get unlicensed Keanu sex scene the second the mod tools drop. This game is so unfinished, it brought Manslayer and Gamer Poop back.
NMS had some major problems upon release, but they had quite a few going against them in hindsight over CP2077. They had a vastly smaller team working on the game (wasn't it like 18 people by the release?), had the lead designer try to sell the game when he clearly did not like public speaking, said dev clearly couldn't just say no to things when pushed, and the flood that nearly fucked their entire work progress. Since they are so small, they did the smart thing, laid low from any form of media and kept repairing their mistakes.Do any of you think that they'll make good on their promises via patches? No man's Sky pulled some miraculous shit and I'm personally hoping so will CD.
