That's actually not a bad idea. No one is going to pay over the silver value for these coins... not at current time anyway. Maybe someone should tell Chris. Hopefully he hoards at least one coin like he does his action figures.

Wether he would or not, the fact is he CAN, were Null to use his likeness to make money without his consent or compensation. Null is under enough legal bullshit from all the sandy-vagoo retards trying to sue him that he has take all legal precautions in his business practices or else be shown he dosen't give a shit for the law, which works against him.

It's not about Chris, it's all about Null being careful.

Picture a white knight with something against Null approaching Chris and convincing him to let White Knight do all the work of suing on Chris’ behalf. Better to just throw a little money at him and have proof that Chris was compensated.

If you wanna get into retarded specifics, you could try and make a case of slander, though even that is murky as is because then it gets into fair use, 1st amendment, etc etc. Having an uncle who is a legal lawyer, and seeing him work on cases like the one you propose its a headache, and thats from the outside looking in. Though in all honestly the best Chris would get out of this is maybe a judge going "hey uh, null? Yeah dont do that."

Anyone can make a right of publicity claim about the use of their likeness to sell a product, and selling his likeness directly on a coin is different than making fun of him on a website devoted to a bunch of other people too, where his image is used along with commentary to document his existence.

I also don't think Null is particularly worried Chris actually would sue, just doesn't want to cheat the guy.
