It's a shame the support crew are self inserts since that guarantees there's no chance of that crew dying in the prologue because they are so out of their depth with how serious the criminal element is, which would leave Nu-Boss crawling from the ashes with a revenge plan in motion to retake this city and kill every single one of those fuckers. At least that would feel more like the original Saints Row.
Nothing is sacred. How many of these people actually worked on the OG Saints Row? I feel like everyone shown up are probably diversity hires during Volition's death throes.

Tldr; the old characters from saints row have been explored enough and are tired, Volition is 'cuffing themselves' by the ankle by endlessly basing their stories around these characters and its a good thing they're trying something new; also the old characters are iredeemably terrible lol

A modern day Saints Row “reboot” will never make a mission as good as this. Benjamin King would never get reduced to something like the new characters shown in the recent new trailer.
If anything, Benjamin would be looked as an enemy because he never apologized, or coerced his way to being on the top. He was the best anti-hero next to Gat.
At worst, he’d get called a sellout for working with the Playa.

The subreddit is pure fucking cope at this point, and having seen the original reaction to the reboot trailer there, my theory is that a bunch of ancom faggots filtered in from other subs because they heard their aid was needed to combat the "incel Nazi chuds" in the Saints Row sub. Predictably none of them will buy the game or play it, but they'll defend it because "people I don't like don't like it" and on goes the culture war.
